Sitting here and in a blah blah blah mood!


Not sure I mentioned it in the thread yet but I picked up a used 50qt ARB fridge back in August. I need to install it but I want to build a storage/sleeping platform first. I am also going to want the fridge on a slide.

You may notice in one of my recent pics the dealership installed roof rack is no more. I have a Bowfin ready to go on.

I am still waiting on the seat covers for the Scheelmanns but last communication with the shop sounded like we were close to being done. That was like a week ago.

I still need to mount my Scangauge to the a-pillar. I just have it sitting on a hard shell sunglass case at the pillar which works alright so I have been slacking on this.

I do have a complete OEM subtank. I do want to install it, however I plan to just set it up with a transfer pump.

Not a lot else I want to do to the Cruiser, a winch and a light bar is about it. I want to start building my Ute so that is where the money is going to start going.

That's how the gas trucks were set up to begin with. The diesels pulled from the tanks independently.

Painted the hood, pulled roof rack and painted roof, painted a-pillars, fixed crunched rear quarter and painted quarter. Polished whole Cruiser. Fixed a busted fender flare.

When are you going wheeling?

More like overlanding or is it broverlanding? Easy lines for this Cruiser in the future.

The Ute will be for bigger nastier wheeling. The big rocks and hard lines. Not worth trashing this one.

Plus nobody cleanes up the trails we hit here in Idaho. Been doing that more on trips to trim the brush back and minimize pinstripes.

I got both.

Took a long time but the seat covers are now done for them. I should have those within a week, will post pics.

Yea. They are cheap when you consider the amount of time it would take to fab up something. Ian was doing a Scheelmann swap on another truck for me back in 2019 and Planted did not have the correct mounts for that Land Cruiser. Huge PIA with the Scheelmann seats. I ended up having to pay someone to take a similar model to 425 Motorsports in order for them to scan and create the correct mounts. They are really nice and no sense reinventing the wheel.

I think Planted has something for the Scheelmann's now. The folks who installed mine didn't mention any extra fabbing they had to do to get my seats in. Now I need to figure out which relay to run thru so ehy only work when the key accessory is on (I've drained the battery twice by accidentally hitting the seat heater switch and leaving them on all night)

@man0fsteel yea Planted makes them for all US spec cruisers and has for a while. I was referring to a JDM model I had at Ian’s shop.
