So the reason it is all sandy on the river where I camped while surrounded by snow, geothermal keeps the sand bar warm. Snowed last night but snow won’t stick to the ground here. My feet were warmer than my nose! I would say ground temp is about 45-50*.

Oh ya, got stuck pic was dropping down onto the sand bar along the river.

Got some videos too I may upload. 🤷🏼‍♂️

With a puppy and eventually a dog my back door cards were getting dirty. In time they would get trashed. I am more than happy to let my dog hang his head out the window and eventually I will have a platform in the back with what I call a “buddy box”.

Got these in and am pretty happy with it. I spent some time picking out ones that attach how I want. So far so good.

Is it grippy, or smooth?

Going through, cleaning up and organizing the shop this evening I dug in my tubs labeled “subtank”.

At least 2yrs ago now, maybe more I bought the subtank set up out of Nolens ME 80. At the same time I bought everything I could for it as well. I don’t plan to run it on the stock valving + configuration. I am just going to run it like you would and aftermarket (LRA) subtank plumbing and wiring wise. I will use the OEM overhead gauge, OEM switch and OEM sending unit. I was stoked to see I have the OEM subtank filler neck (top & bottom) plus the lever, knob, ect for the setup. Forgot I had these parts. Hoping the tank is restorable but if for some reason not, I will fab one or run the LRA subtank which would be last resort because I don’t want 24g behind the rear axle.

Anyways a subtank is on my “to-do” list for this Cruiser and seeing the OEM goodies today sparked a small fire. 🤗

Finally got around to mounting my Scangauge how I want. Nutsert in the A-pillar to a Ram mount to a Wits End bracket is my preferred method.

Yes I know my door seal is sad and saggy, I will fix that. My Cruiser is low priority and I did this in front of the shop, I will finalize it later. That is a permanent mount though for my Scangauge.

Where can these be bought? I will be swapping out my door cards soon because my dogs destroyed them. These look like they would work well to protect the new panels.

Doing a little spring cleaning on my 80 this evening in the shop and decided to screw around with some customer’s wheels. I think I am going to ditch my OEM wheels because I want to widen the stance a touch.

Racelines in a 4.75” bs and 17” variety. This wheel tire combo puts it really close to OEM which is not what I am after, sexy regardless and yup could get this wheel in the combo I want.

SCS with the BS I think I am after.

I want to bring my tire edge out to the edge of the flares, like this.

I check my wheel bearings every time I have my Cruiser on the lift. Today was the first time I have found loose wheel bearings on one of my Cruisers. 20yrs, 40/60/70/80/100 never had them loosen up on me. I been doing 25ftlbs on the preload nut for decades.

I set them at 30ftlbs and in all fairness probably done a dozen trips into the desert where I was hammering on the Cruiser at speed.

Cheers
