I was raised in a Toyota land cruiser family, but always loved the look of the series ii/ii rovers. I like the older boxier 70 series better, but wouldn't go as far and say they look like a taco. Although the rounded fenders give a less aggressive look. I think. That being said they still look awesome.

I have to agree that's pretty sharp........
Am I back on the Christmas Card list? :)

I do like the 75 series front end better.
I am obviously biased but I like the flat / box like facia of the older trucks. I would however like to

have the newer, more powerful diesel.

Siding with me on this forum will destroy your reputation. :)

straight faced - "no, i do not covet the 4.5L twin turbo diesel"
That's because you can't get a new one.

Tell me, witrh a straight face, that you do not covet a 4.5 liter twin-turbo diesel V8......

I sure as hell do.....:grinpimp:

crossing a 60 series front clip with the rugged good looks of the 70 body was a huge step backwards for Toyota.
I can also drive my HJ75 and my BJ74 in the woods and not have to constantly look over my shoulder for the "man". :)
I actually prefer the "old school" Cruisers anyway.

My main gripe with the new 7* series is that the front wheels are 100m further apart than the rears. Lots of owners complain that it causes the rear to sway if you are driving in ruts that suit the front more than the back.
I have always hped they would widen the rears to match with some nice bulged out rear fenders (like Nissan did with the Patrol).

Okay ....... (Straight faced)
I would gladly accept a more powerful diesel powerplant under the hood of my truck however after spending half of my adult life going 500+ mph, it's occasionally nice to plug along at 55 mph.
Again straight faced.........

Perhaps they only need the right brush bar to look less Tacoma-ish. :)

funny that you need to hide that hideous front end behind generic add-ons to make it look even a whee bit attractive.

Did you say "hideous" with a straight face?
I was just trying to be diplomatic by posting that photo. : )

Is this any better?
