eBay 1985 FJ60 CARB certified V8 conversion. So nice. Resto-mod. Not mine wish it was.

super clean, I hope mine looks that clean some day soon (so I can start getting it dirty)

I'm going to start a build thread soon. I did notice one thing... o_O

I looked at and drove this truck last week. One of the cleanest and nicest I've ever seen. Also the quietest and most solid driving around.

But, Don't think the wife would let me bring a third cruiser home...

Gorgeous rig. Price seems reasonable. I'd lose the V8 emblems and change the front bumper setup because I love the looks of the front end on the FJ60 and this covers it too much. Much, much too nice to bring to the rust belt though. It would have to stay inside when it would be the most fun to drive it.

Yeah, nice truck - but prices have really jumped if that's a $35k rig.

I would usually agree. I don't think any of the mods merit the price. The $$$$ lays in the cleanliness (and that little CARB sticker.)

I would still probably never pay more than $15k for a cruiser though.

I'm no expert but I have watched a few Barrett Jackson auctions when I'm all streamed out and the resto-mods often fetch more than restorations but that is when they move to more modern in the same family. It sure would be nice if these resto-mods for Toyotas used a 4.7 with a Toyota 5 speed auto ... But as has been pointed out, that CARB sticker is the kicker.
