Couple of pics. Have been sanding the car and parts for paint. A lot of work, but getting ready. Now prepping my garage to paintboot. Hopefully in a couple of weeks will get primed and start final sanding.

Great work, you’re making me feel like a slacker with the speed and quality of work you’re able to get done in a seemingly short period.

Niiiiice work, nice project.
As an ex firetruck you could keep it red and put on rotating beacon, it could be usefull to go throught the traffic jam...

Just fixed old beacon holes from roof, but maby I should have left them..

How do you attack the rust that is behind the panels that you are replacing? Like up inside the area around the windshield? That's always been the trouble with these things, they rust from the inside out.
I'm using Fertan http://www.fertan.com
That looks like a good product for those places you can't reach and clean of rust. Fertan is very thin and goes in small holes. But is it good or not will bee seen in future. After Fertan I will spray cavity wax on those places.

I sprayed Fertan also in many places that have surface rust. Here are before and after Fertan pics. I have sprayed Fertan in there and now it has been about a mont outside in rain and looks like black primer. I'm pretty hapy at the moment with the results.
In after pic its quite dusty. If clean it's solid matt black.

Built a paint boot to my carage and finally getting new paint to parts.
Bonnet, doors and many small parts have now 031 white paint on them. Bonnet still needs another layer of white and after that lower parts of doors with T309 freeborn red. Hopefully at next week starting with body.

Before primer and with 031 white.

Man, that red is pretty. Good Job!
Thank you.

Thats actually my first paint job done completely by me. Have done all the prep work a few times, but never sprayed the final paint. And this far, I'm pretty hapy how its going. Have done some parts twice and there are couple of runs to be buffed later. The biggest problem has been lighting. I have pretty good lights on my garage, but they are too high on the walls. Some places it's hard to see that do you spray wet enough to get proper glos and avoid runs.
