Just replaced the tie rods ends.

First, the part numbers below match with the dorman parts I found on rock auto. Total at the time of purchase was $64.

I did a terrible job measuring the tie rod lengths before removal. Also, had to clean up the threads on the rods quite a bit before reassembly.

Unfortunately, I forgot I had one of these layout tools until after I was finished but figured I would post a pic in case it helps.

Also, I did a quick alignment at the house before taking it to the 4x4 shop for an alignment. The price in Arkansas was $109. The standard alignment shops wouldn’t do it because their computers didn’t go back to the 70’s.

That just cracks me up. Heck - they could have used the specs for a 1989 FJ62 and they would have been close enough. You need to avoid any chain joints (if you do this again) and find a frame shop or a mom-and-pop alignment place. Glad you got it done, in any case.
