Amazing build grog. Are the meats 12.50’s or 285’s?

Odds and ends day then I had to shove all the wires back in the truck so I can get a windshield tomorrow. Drove it a bit and it’s nice and smooth

The OEM foot switch did the trick and now we have low beam and high beam lights

I took it for a nice long test drive then came home and confirmed the valves once the engine was hot.

Right now I have no blinkers. This harness has no hazard switch and the blinker switch on the column is new. Not sure what I’m missing on that.

I removed the feed hard line and replaced it with a rubber line wrapped in head shield.

No noise.

Not to sidetrack this any further. But…. I removed my aluminum separators and temporarily install some cheap plastic plug wire separators. No squeal.

Vader light. Decided to use this switch versus the old style with the tiny knob.

@ToyotaMatt ….. these are the holes left to plug ….

One has to be a working blower fan and the rest just dummies

- copy that Nolan

- what is the translucent-tinted green tubing for poking out from behind the mighty SIP ( Sniper Information Portal ) ?

That’s a female plug in this harness that I don’t know what it’s for.

I have a few connections I can’t figure out what they are for in this harness. I plan on making a video and sending it to @Coolerman for guidance.

Did you check the valves with engine running? I’m trying to muster the courage to try it.

Jesus no.

I know you could check them that way if you had to be no way to adjust them.
I have a 72FJ40 that needs the adjustment, I’ve looked at five repair manuals, including Landcruiser Bible, haynes , 1972 Toyota FSM, etc. Three of the 5 books say to do it with the engine running! Yikes.

I've done it with the engine running. Once you get the hang of it, it's really not that bad. Moving a warm engine by hand to open the valves is preferred, but if you have a worn cam making it more difficult to tell if the valves are completely open or not, adjusting them while running works better.

- there should be a incorporated :

- ( originally optional port installed equipment feature Sub-Harness Section & a HAZARD Switch assy. itself Kit 1962-12/68 )

- (
1/69 - Later the HAZARD switch , and it's Sub-Harness circuitry became standard equipment feature )

Mark confirmed this harness was not built with a hazard. I certainly don’t have the wiring poking out for something so obvious as that. It can be wired through the blinkers but I don’t even have blinkers now so I’m not introducing more stuff
