I've used the red soft ride kits on some of my other builds. This build was one I didn't want to separate from the chassis....a lot of the mounts can be difficult to remove due to all the rust/gunk build up. Especially the running boards. As for the firmness of the ride I can't tell between one or the other.
Okay. Good to know there's no discernable difference. I'll do a bit more research on this project scope. I figured I'd be able to swap all these without a whole body/tub removal...hmm. I know a good weeks-worth of prep/soak on all the existing hardware will be a good start.

I've not installed the kit, but I know a lot of members have without removing the tub.

Yes, you can work your way around by loosening a few adjacent mounts and replace as you go. The ones that always give me the most problems are the side steps and the ones closest to the side steps. The side steps you have to remove all of the bolts that attached to the side rocker panels. 6 or 7 per side if I remember correctly.

Worked on the patina preservation this afternoon. Hard to tell in the pics but it really pulled a lot of the surface oxidation and rust out. Applying The boil linseed is like getting the final wipe down after a new tattoo. It’s amazing. Really makes it pop.

Done.

Still need a headlight bezel with some matching character if anyone has one.

My windshield bump/rests were toast so put a new set on order along with a new windshield base weatherstrip.

For sure, but if you watch his “parting out” threads, you can generally find something with just the right amount of age on it. BTW, beautiful spring green LC..👍🏻
