There’s a thread on here,….. somewhere I did over 20 years ago of FJ40”s spotting 333x950x15’s
Yes if installed on stock wheels the only thing that rubs is the LF tire on the drag link at full turn…. hurts nothing.

Decided to bolt them on my 79 and try them out going to Hot Springs next week....and before one of you eagle eyed sleuths comment on the weights on the spare......that wheel is not true, the rest took very little weight to balance.......

Im sorry, but what? You are going to repaint this thing? The horror!!! Find another original paint front fender and just bolt it on if its that bad.

Hypothetically, if you run this 40 and the identical 40 with a repaint through a collector auction, the original will bring more $$$. Id drive around with a busted up fender for years while looking for another Capri Blue fender before I painted this thing.

You lose the cool factor, the originality, you hurt the value, and you spend thousands of dollars and time to do it. Major mistake. The thought of repainting a Capri Blue FST in this condition is terrifying. I cant watch. This thing should be preserved.

The body and paint are not good enough for this......I am not doing this for resale value, besides I already have a survivor, this 79....
