I got Mini-Truck p.s. set up right now. Little worried about it with the to come 35s, if it turns out to not be adequate I'll probably have to look in the saginaw or scout p.s. direction.

FWIW, I have been running the Mini truck PS for about a year, I wheel in Colorado a ton and I get to Moab whenever I can. I have run trails rated at 4, and have had NO issues with the PS setup, with 35" MTR's.

It is more about how you wheel and driving well. If you beat on your rig, or planning on locking the front, I might hesitate, otherwise I would run it without a worry.

Looking great man, you been sitting on that plywood making vroom-vroom sounds?

:D

Tucker

Yea, just a little bit. :D

Thanks Razarf,

That's good to here. Not to going to wheel her to hard, and gonna leave the front open so sounds like the mini-truck will work out good.

Been trying to work on the project a little lately.

Few updates here, got my tail light brackets and front seat brackets back from powdercoat and turned out very nice.

Got both products from fellow mudders. Tail light brackets came custom made from Volunteer, here is a link to them https://forum.ih8mud.com/showthread.php?t=143114

And got the front seat brackets from 72cruiser, thanks man.

Also got the mini-truck p.s all hooked up and ready to go.

Cleaned up and painted shaft and brackets.

Now on these old shafts, they got weird rubber plastic thing for the column to rotate on the inner shaft. I wasn't really liking how that was working out, so I cut that off, and installed two bearings in instead. Got one way down close to where the shaft meets the gearbox, and one up close where that rubber deal was. They are definitely not going anywhere, took heat to get them on the shaft, and a little patience to get the column over them. Placed them where I could oil them if I needed to, bottom just past what looks like a wiring hole, and the other I can just pop the wheel off and get too.

Also working on the pedals. The brake pedal is all mocked up. Right now it's got about 3.5 to 4in of travel. Not sure if this is going to be enough or not.

And the gas pedal is still a work in progress, I would like to move it over a little, so it's not too close to the brake pedal, but for the most part it just needs to be bolted up.

Now I got my old bumperettes powdercoated, but when I went to install them, it seems like they are a little wider than the bolt pattern accepts, almost identical on each side.

Is this normal and it just need to have a lot of pressure pushing in to get it too line up?? Also it appears that each bumperette by looking from the top has a side that has more curve inward and one side that has more of a flat approach. I'm assuming the flatter curved side is on the outside??

I've also got the brakes just about done.

Had some stainlesss braided made hear locally. Down by the drum it's metric of course, but I had the other side converted to an 7/16" SAE, that way I can have everything a more readily available thread, instead of having to deal with metric.

Gonna run separate lines for the rear, and one for the front. Hard lines everywhere except for the extended lines.

Since most of the hard lines are running through the frame, I ran some of those wiring protective sleeves over them, so that they don't rub on the frame and try to cause a problem. And don't worry I got them setup where they won't hold moisture.

First pic is the metric joint at the drum, then the bracket holding it on the frame, and then an overall pic.

Now I just need to clean the brake drum plate and knuckle cleaned up with a steam cleaner or something. It's gotten a little dirty

Here's a junction where I got the passenger line running up to the bottom of the tee, and the driver line into the top, then of course gonna run one line to the m.c.

It looks a little silly, but I'm gonna say it's a vibration loop, you know keep the line structurally sounds and all.

Apparently the passenger front seat was modified to be mounted in the rear bed, kinda like a jump seat. So I got to re-modify it

Also fixed some threads that were stripped and one the front driver seat there was a spring that was broken, welded that up so it will work since I couldn't find a replacement. Not real pretty but it works and it's not like it will get seen anyway.

My bumperettes were always with the curve or swelling to the outside of the rig and yes, mine needed to "talked into" getting alingned.

Where did you source your stainless hardware?

Great buildup, keep it up man.
