Just finished reading this thread. Excellent work my man!

Have a question about some 'holes' in your tub. In the pic below I circled a couple of holes. What are they for? They are on both wheel well tops of your tub. I'm about to finish installing new wheel well tops in my 1971 and if those holes serve some good purpose I will add them to mine. ;)

Keep up the good work!

That bottom right hole on your wheel well is for the seat belt tie in. The top one, I don't recall.

Well it looks like I'm finally done with the tub.

The passenger side got one coat more than the other side because I had a couple :whoops: s

But in the end it turned out pretty good. It was hard to get any real good pics in the dark shop, but here are some. Gonna try to get the tub line-x ed on the inside floor and the complete underside this week and then try to mount it up to the frame. And then maybe I can get this thing out in the sun light.

Here is a couple pics of the tub being painted.

I coated a bunch of small stuff also, like fenders, aprons, bib, running boards, tail gates, two bi-fold parts, tool box lid, the frames for the doors, and the little windshield vent flap thing.

Here is a couple pics I shot of some of the small stuff.

That's all I got right now, but progress should start to pick up here in the next month or so.

The pics may have looked a little hazy because Imron was everywhere in the air.

If you ever paint Imron make sure you wear a good resperator, or you might lose a left lung something to it. Nasty stuff.

Aren't you supposed to use a fresh air respirator when spraying immron?

Paint came out awsome.

It's preferred that way, but the paint guy said a good new respirator would be o.k.

I think it typically only effects like 20% of people that use it, and I painted a boat with it the same way about 10 years and I can still breath most of the times.

It is some awesome stuff though, thanks for the compliments.

Love your fiberglass drip rail, and that Imron job kicks ass! Done anything to it lately?

P.S. Thanks for the shipment, I'll keep an eye out for it.

dude GREAT build up!

Sorry I havn't had any updates..

I decided against putting bedliner on the bottom of the tub, just because it seemed to not be very practical. So now I'am in search of some sort of paint to undercoat with..

And once I get that undercoated, she's going on the frame, hopefully my auxiliary tank will be in from MAF by them, but it probably won't be.

As of late I have been doing little tinkering stuff. I have officially found out that the chassis will move when I put it in gear now:doh: Kinda scared the shiz out of me, thought I was putting the tranny down into neutral, or maybe it was reverse, anyways I dropped it into Drive and me and chassis almost took a ride out of the shop.. I have topped the tranny off with fluid, and diffs, and such. I have made some pretty cool little blueprints for a custom shroud I'am gonna have made from aluminum, so that should be getting done here pretty soon..

And I have also been working on alot of body parts sanding getting those ready for paint here soon, hopefully when I can get some good warm weather. It's been abnormally pleasant down here..

Anyways, hunting season is over and business is slowing down, so there should be some updates in the near future.

I finally found a free program that will edit my ASF video type I took a while back. The only problem is it put this little header on the top of the video, since it was a trial version and I don't want to pay $60 for the whole thing.

Anyways, it's a little video I did a while back of a test run we did of the 406. It sounds wicked cool so turn up the speakers.

I did a little Corlar painting on the hood, hardtop sides, and doors. So now I got to sand those, and then Imron here soon.

I'm gonna go and undercoat the tub with a black imron, not to glossy, and then do the bedliner on the inside. Once I finish that, tub goes on the frame. Hopefully the undercoating can be done this weekend.
