I. Can't. Fawking. Wait.

I have the rear section and I can say that the quality and craftsman s*** is amazing and the dude that TIG welded these is OCD. The joint that mates the interchangeable tail pipe ends together is amazing.

Superior gear is what it is.....

I have some questions

Cermaic coat or not ceramic coat - advatnages vs disdvantages

Silnecer- does this impact any power input

Mid pipes - will this pass emissions and inspection for the required equipment?

Hey baktasht,

Your graph doesn't show up big enough to see the data. Can you upload a larger one to the website so we can zoom in and see the data? Thanks! :)
The photo of the dyno graph on our website is just a placeholder. Actual dyno testing on the headers will be done soon along with the release to sell them to you guys.

Thanks Shane! I'm glad you like your EMSPowered Catback exhaust. I hope your 100-series and your right foot enjoy the new found power :steer: :D

These headers are built from thick walled 304 stainless steel. Ceramic coating is used as a heat barrier. The ceramic coating we use is the same coating we use on all of our turbo applications. It is a 2200 degree satin black coating. It lowers surface temps by 100-200 degrees depending on the exhaust gas temps. It is not necessary to do the ceramic coating, but is nice to have.

The midpipe that comes with our headers is available with either no cats (straight pipe), or with a single cat per side. A single cat will pass the "sniffer" test and computerized tests that emissions stations do, but if you are in an area where the inspector gets under the truck and visually checks for two cats per side then it will not pass. If they do a visual check for two cats per side I would recommend keeping the factory headers and using our 100-series high flow midpipes to replace the factory midpipes, which are available with two cats per side.

The silencer option for the EMSPowered Catback exhaust system is there for people who would like a slightly quieter exhaust note. On an natrually aspirated engine we have not noticed power loss with the silencer. On supercharged or turbocharged truck you will notice a slight power decrease with the use of a silencer.

SOON is the best you can do after 6 months??

You timeline predictions are getting more Nebulous, not less so...

In his defense, 4 months if I'm correct. However, I must agree some sort of more concrete response would be appreciated by many :) I've been following this thread from the beginning with high hopes. Some nice progress pictures would be appreciated or small teasers before the release of the product might regain hype from many. But yeah, it has been a while with many "gray" answers. I'm gonna remain neutral in this event though! Eagerly awaiting final product!

I've been getting timelines since December last year, when I found out about these and postponed the DT purchase.

And I'm only stating the timeline mileposts that EMS has quoted.

Is it too soon to ask when the headers for the '05-'07 100 series will be out?:beer::doh:

These will be ready to ship soon, be patient. The power benefits are worth it, ;) We will not pre release them until everything is perfect and ready to ship. If there is enough interest we can build them for later 100series during the 3rd/4th quarter of 2013.

Another novice question: can I do the headers/extractors first and do the rest of the system later?
Would it still have benefits?
One of my original headers has a crack so it needs to be replaced one day.

Yes, you can do the headers first and then the cat-back exhaust later. Or the cat-back exhaust first and then the headers later. They do not necessarily have to be done at the same time.

Some teaser photos for you guys. Just some final details that need to be taken care of before we can start shipping these. Stay tuned.

Flip your eye patch up Baba Booey, what do you want them to look like? They're headers, on a truck that isn't fast to begin with. You're not gonna pop wheelies. Look at the ones in your truck now, see how tight of a fit that is? They can't be that different. You're expecting the most amazing looking things the world has ever seen and you want some super sneak peak?

Maybe they really are something totally innovating and new. Like something we've never even heard about and EMS doesn't want to give away they're secrets. Or, maybe they're just shiny headers. Kinda like the DT ones, but different.

Ask for something that matters.

See pictures above^^^^^

Put me down for a set for the later 100 series. How many do you need to go into production?

If we can get at least 10 people to be 100% on those we will build them.
