Ebrake cable made it up the mountain. I think my only missing piece(s) are a speedo cable and the associated kit and Im all set for the swap. I need to do a little digging to make sure I order the correct “ratio“ bits and pieces…

You should just reuse the speedo gear pieces from your old tcase. That's why I didn't seal the speedo housing on the tcase when I assembled it.

Thats what most people do anyway. :meh:

Good copy. That was my last piece I was unsure of. Although, I am going to need a new cable I believe.

Added some new shoes to the “Franken lights”. The bases are aftermarket that were appropriated for a field expedient repair to the original housings. @300$ sheckles for new ones, I’m going to ride that “mule” as long as I can come up with creative repairs…😁

Pre-fall maintenance.

Added some wiper blades. The Oil/antifreeze/plugs/belt/battery has less than 100 miles on them. Head over to the big city this week for some fluid film for inside the front/ambi doors/windshield frame etc. I’ve been using a silicone based garage door lube on the hinges and a squirt or two of dry lube in all the locks.

Rainy day today, so I hit a small project.

@Skreddy motivated me to start a rehab on my dash knobs. Using a fine point paint pen. 1st coat drying. I’ll clean it up with a little thinner after the 2nd coat. Cigarette lighter was/is a challenge. All in all it should clean up nicely…

Collecting spares…

I recently picked up a spare t-case from a Fellow Mudamite...It’s been sitting in the garage for a few days so I figured I should clean it up. The “wet look” is two days worth of royal purple. Took it down to my “Uncles” place and hit it with the Steam Jenny, cleaned up pretty well for the 1st go round.

Dropped all the small bits in the parts washer to percolate for a couple of days. Big bits are submerged for a thorough soak.

Thanks Matt…😎

It was buried beneath a few layers of previous usage. All the ancillary parts seem to be in good order. I’ll know more when I start taking it apart.

That steam cleaner is the fa-shizzle…I’ve seen pics of Mark cleaning those pieces by hand. And let me tell ya’, he was in the Zone. I don’t have that much “Jedi“ in my entire body..😜

I used the same machine awhile back to clean an ocean voyage coating on my front end.
