Ok, I read your entire thread and all I can say is "sorry". It must be embarrassing driving around in that POS. However, snce we're still in coronavirus restrictions and I like to be a nice guy I'll tell you what I'll do, I'll take that POS off your hands for free so you know longer have to suffer.

Love the sua... But need to re-read the section on hangers for fj60 axles.

Nice work, stay healthy.

Hit a trail Saturday. Took a bad line in the rocks which wedged my left rear wheel in pretty bad. I didn't notice how bad it was and snapped the axle shaft. The driveshaft got beat up pretty good, I crushed the exhaust tip a bit and tore the soft top. One of the reasons I run the top I do is I kind of planned it would it get beat up and replacement bestop stuff should be easy to get. However since I'm upgrading the motor in my 80 again shortly I will probably just patch the top for now so I'm dropping a lot of cruiser money all at once.

I’m ignorant to how to convert to flashing brake lights. Do educate me. Have a link to the PFM that allows them to flash?
They are just strobe Led brake light bulbs off of eBay. The programming is inside the bulb. They are like 20 bucks a pair.

I have been so busy this summer the 40 has been neglected. The starter has been getting worn out so I swapped in a gear reduction unit I had from a 60 series. Starts up way better. I am going to remove the header and install some 3fe exhaust manifolds, fix the smashed tail pipe, and add ram assist hopefully in the next couple weeks or so.

Getting ready to put the 40 in storage for a while. I installed a trickle charger solar panel to keep the battery charged. I also bought ram assist. No time to plumb it now, but got the brackets in. I took a plate, cut it, and beat it over the front cover while it was red hot.

This gives me a sturdy enough platform I hope for the ram brackets. Incidentally the ram is really well protected by the sua setup.

Are you still planning on moving to Georgia?

I've been meaning to do this forever. I keep forgetting when the welder is out. I have my air compressor intake on the back of the compressor with a simple hose. It doesn't look good and can easily injest water.

So I pulled the air cleaner and flipped it upside down.

I drilled a hole and welded in a 10an fitting. Surprisingly very few options as to where else to install this.

Here is how it turned out when done.
