The motor package engineering design is nearly complete with several new mods & design improvments over the past month or so. We are stoked with the initial results and even more so to see the results of the assembled "motor block". This motor assembly will be compatible with other 4x4's such as classic Jeep and Broncos. Modeling and fitment in progress on those fitments:).

What do you think so far?

If homage is to be paid to an engine block, it would be cool if it were paid to the FJ40's inline 6. But then if you had that inline 6 electric motor look, the next owner's just gonna tear it out to put in the V8 e-version. :p. Electric purists will do the reverse.

One car just back from Paint to the FJ is taking a trip through the paint shop while we await the avalanche of cool custom parts and equipment to arrive..... same colors...... stripped the brake lines, all 12v wiring etc....

Last minute call to clean up the FJ... Base Body/Frame will be back in next week for work to continue. Specifically getting the driveline re-installed so we can get to the real fun stuff.

Here is a 360 video review of the e-crate motor. Fully engineered stacked model. Assembly starting soon as most of the parts are in house finally..... Cant wait to have the full buildup. Crazy town fun.

Great choice. What is the color / paint code?

It was really close to the original Coronado Beige. Had been redone at some point not too far back so we color matched.

This is great to read about.
In your opinion, is the 40 the best option for an electric conversion?

Not sure which is best but it is neat. It fits the defined build criteria well. Using good Tesla modules which are best density option allows Battery Capacity @ 36-42 kWhr. The 45 pick-up or troopy would be awesome. Could use the current motor as designed or upgrade to more powerful motors that fit into the existing configuration. Playing with alternative modules we could likely get @ 2x the capacity with good weight distribution with the longer wheel base options.

e-FJ-40 is back in the shop from paint. A little prep and mechanical check.... Where do folks like picking up FJ items? Need some new rubber mounts (body to frame)...... among other things we will be looking for int he coming weeks:)...
