Two years and 15000mi after my swap, I still have a long punch list of items which need attention...

Thanks Pacer. Its all the little things that add up. All the nickel and dime items here and there. I'll try my best to finish it up before putting her on the road, but I have a dead line and it is the first of May.

Want to check my fluid level in the H55, is this one plug pictured on the drivers side the fill plug?

Any suggestions on my steering hook up. I had to use a half inch plate between the frame and pump. This was due to the a/c compressor taking up some of the room. The coupler contacts the shock tower. Was thinking of heating up the shock tower with a torch and using a pipe to make a recess to give it a little room.

After three years, I finally got her started. Two small oil leaks but should be able to get them fixed easily. No fuel leaks. Im so excited

You could do that or C-channel, or two pieces of angle iron, or three plates

Just taking it one day at a time. Some days are better than others but I still like going out to the garage and wrenching on the Ole Girl. My only advice is to not get overwhelmed and go to far with a project

Looks good to me so long as it's mounted solid like. You're gonna have vibes with a 4 cylinder.

Didn't have another set of vise grips handy. If no one sees any problems with the location, I'll drill some holes and mount it like the oil filter to the left.

I can see where there will be bolts on top but can you get bolts in the bottom of your bracket too?

The top gets bolts thru the flange of the cowl. The bottom of the bracket just rests against the fire wall.

That will work but I can imagine it rattling against the firewall at idle. Ive always heard 4 cylinders shake like crazy at idle but I have no personal experience.

That will never work there...

I mounted my filters in the same area using the same materials. The fuel filter is aluminum angle and does not move at all without a lower support. The oil filter is made from aluminum channel, I left a small piece of channel leg on the lower part with a split rubber hose where it touches the firewall for support and it's rock solid. No issues in nearly 50k miles.

Yours is looking good.
