I'm a new owner of a 2000 100 that runs great but needs some work. I have come to realize that I just don't have the bandwidth in this life stage (4 kids, etc) to take on the few projects it needs. Up for sale is my 2006 LC, I purchased this vehicle stock a little over 8 years ago and over those years I’ve put in a lot time, money, mods and miles on it. I just sold my 98 100 series and purchased this really nice 04 GX470 less than 6 months ago, but I’m already missing the room and feel of my 100 series.
I’m looking for $26k cash or to trade for a comparably built 100 series with similar mileage and condition.
This GX470 is basically thr Toyota Prado, the Lexus V8 & 3rd row seating version of the Toyota 4Runner. 4x4 with center lock differential. It has been fully serviced, runs and drives great. As I posted 8 years ago, I was fortunate to find a 2004 LC in Colorado with 30k miles back in 2015.
It now has about 125k miles, the kids are now grown and gone, and I need a lot less room than before. And I'm itching for something different.
I was going to take the LC on a two week road trip from MN to AZ at the end of the month, so just had new front brakes installed, had it aligned and the oil changed. But after spending time at the dealer and driving a bunch of newish 4runners I want to take a newer ride on the trip. So I'm going to buy a 2020 4runner tomorrow.
Here are my questions:

I added a Slee Blueberry front bumper, Smittybilt 10,000 lb. wench w/synthetic cable, custom rear bumper w/ spare tire - BF Goodrich KO2 tires in good shape , 2” Old Emu suspension lift, ARB slide out drawers, replaced stock radio w/Kenwood which has XM capabilities and back up camera. Not sure if anyone else was following this auction but a pristine original owner 2003 with 45K miles just sold for $49,250 plus the fees. From the pictures, it appears to be one of the cleanest that I have ever seen.
The timing belt had never been done and the owner stated that he felt that it was not necessary. There was also no other mention of maintenance mentioned besides a few oil changes listed on the Carfax.
It would be interesting to know what it would have sold for if it had meticulous maintenance records.

I got the seller to send me these pictures, Northeast car 2007 LC with AHC single owner 162000 miles with all maintenance on file and up to date. He says it’s just surface rust and there isn’t any hidden, but he’s a 6 hour drive away. Thoughts?
