This is not my rig, but I have personally seen this and it is one to the cleanest Land Cruiser's I have looked at in my search for a 100. I am really wanting a 2005 - 2007 LX so I am passing on this one.... I will probably regret the decision as it has been almost impossible to find a decent LX that isn't 25K.
The owner is a Toyota Master Tech at one of the local Toyota Dealerships. The paint is almost flawless and the interior is WOW. The undercarriage has ZERO rust and this runs awesome. As the title mentions, I'm looking for a 98 or 99 100 series or Lx470 with the factory rear locker option. I'm selling my 1st gen Tundra once hunting season goes out at the end of January and have always wanted a 100 series. I'm looking for something to be reliable first and foremost. It won't be a daily driver, but it will be going on some destination hunting trips. I'd like to stay around 200k or less on the mileage. (I know that's pristine condition for these vehicles) This listing covers a wide variety of vehicles so I'll throw a price range out there $12,000 and under for the right truck but would like to be under 10k. Unfortunately due to a major life change for our family I have decided that our beloved Cruiser must go. I really thought that this was going to be the one that would eventually get handed down to the kids (said the same about the 80) but due to circumstances totally within my control we are moving to a land where lifted Cruisers are completely unnecessary (Nebraska). With that being said, I will get down to the details. We purchased this Cruiser less than a year ago from a fellow Mudder in Arizona (hence any déjà vu you may be feeling) with 190,000 miles. Seriously though, this thing is a bit rough. It is a one owner vehicle that was meticulously maintained and has likely never seen a dirt road. It was used primarily to shuttle kids to and from school, and you know how rough kids can be in a car ;)
One of those kids is driving now, and drove it into the back of a 2018 Subaru. Ouch! I feel for the Subaru owner and their new car. Sorry! :(

Purchased three years ago at 25X,000 miles, at a used car lot. I found information on the previous owners and contacted them. She was serviced at their local Lexus dealer most of her life.

I bought my second 100 series two years ago and intended to use it as a secondary Expo truck to take friends and family camping alongside our fully built 100 series. Reality has dictated otherwise. My wife needed a different around town car and it made no sense to have two of these sitting around. I hate to see it go because it is just a completely solid truck.
This 2000 is low mileage at 169,698 miles and has been expertly maintained by Steve Lam at RPM Garage in Monrovia, CA. He brought it up to speed on all maintenance when I bought it.
I have added a TJM T17 bumper, OME 860 Rear Springs, OME Nitro Shocks, and some knockoff ARB round LED lights. It is a great starter truck for an EXPO build. I would drive this to South America...

A few months ago I bought “The King” from @2001LC for my wife. It’s quite possibly the most well maintained and nicest 2001 in the country.
Why am I selling so soon you ask? Well my wife wanted a LX but I talked her into getting a Land Cruiser from Paul because I had been following Paul’s threads. She had a Lexus before and is not happy with the Land Cruiser. so now I’m buying her a 06 LX.
I’d keep it for myself but I have a 04 that I take off road. “The King” is a garage queen and way too nice for what I like to do with a Land Cruiser.

It's a very solid vehicle, it will need new tires in the next year, and has a slight pulsing with braking, I have not checked to see if it needs pads, or it could be a tire balance issue also but I will investigate. Selling my beloved Landcruiser to move into a newer car. It is 'unbuilt' (no overlanding mods done), but very solid and dependable - I've spent the last year fixing thing that have been neglected and it's in a great place to begin building or just using as is. I've used it on countless road trips and camping outings in that time. I wouldn't hesitate to get in and drive it across the country tomorrow. It has not been smoked or pet lived in, as far as I can tell (I'm sensitive to those smells) it has a few older carpet stains that don't seem to want to come out, but proper floor mars should cover most of that.
