Up for sale is a 1972 Volkswagen Super Beetle in red. Since I love you 'Mud members, I'll be very honest about the condition of the vehicle :D Really though, this car would be a good commuter car for cheap, but it's not a showpiece.
1300cc carburetor engine works well. 4 speed manual transmission shifts fine, clutch is in good shape. Interior could use a little touching up, tan cloth seats with black dash. Dash has light cracking, odometer does not work, therefore mileage is unknown, but it's at least 68,000. Speedo illumination lights are kind of iffy, one works consistently, other one is a little touchy, so it comes on and off. My pastor is moving to Liberia, West Africa in the next few months to work as a professor at Africa Bible College. He needs transportation for traveling in the bush. Most roads are unpaved and pretty soupy in the wet season.
Based on seating capacity and MPG preferences, he's looking for a 2000 or newer 4Runner. I'm also looking on Auto Trader and Carmax, but would prefer something from a Mud member. Light mods would be great for the terrain he will be in, but a rock crawler will be unnecessary.

Another long story behind this one guys but I will spare you most of it.
The Good
This truck is a legal import from Canada with a clean title.
The 2H diesel was professionally rebuilt by a local diesel guru. I have all the reciepts. Over $4500 spent. Less than 3k miles since rebuild. It runs good.
The truck is complete and can be driven anywhere.
The interior is decent to good shape.
The Bad
The body is rusty. Its not gone yet but I don't feel like restoring it.
Alternator went bad but Its currently being rebuilt.
Needs glow plugs rewired.
AC needs a charge.
The Ugly
The frame is very rusty and rusted thru in several spots in the rear. You could conitnue to patch it but is not worth it to me. It is still...

I'm moving on to a different toy and need to sell the crawler, some of you have seen the truck in action and know how I take care of it...... For those who dont know me, heres the details:
The truck is a 1982 Toyota SR5 and I'm the third owner. I've done alot of the finish work but the owner before me did all of the major mods and I have better than 16k in parts recipts..... just parts.
It has a 22R built by Beaverton Machine with nothing but the best parts inside. It has a pretty tourqey cam and a weber carb. The trans is a w56 with a fresh TrailGear ceramic clutch. I am selling a 2 owner 2006 Chevy 2500HD Duramax turbodiesel with Allison Transmission, under warranty. There are currently 74,XXX miles on the odo. The majority of the miles are highway, because the truck was used to deliver trailers to our dealers throughout the south. It has a "Westin" brushguard and "Westin" nerf bars. There is a sprayed in bedliner with a goose neck reciever in the bed. The truck has the factory towing package with a factory installed electronic trailer brake. The rims are factory, but I had them powder coated black, as well as the hood painted to match. The tires are TOYO Open Country 285/ 75/ 16 and they have around 5,000 miles on them. I have a 95 M3 that l was considering trading for 1st gen runner or a 60 series. Up front l will say that the car has an R title due to the fact that it had been stolen. It has some minor cosmetic damage on the drivers side. It is purely cosmetic. The car drives fantastic, gets great milage and runs smooth.
