Up for sale is a 1972 Volkswagen Super Beetle in red. Since I love you 'Mud members, I'll be very honest about the condition of the vehicle 
Really though, this car would be a good commuter car for cheap, but it's not a showpiece.
1300cc carburetor engine works well. 4 speed manual transmission shifts fine, clutch is in good shape. Interior could use a little touching up, tan cloth seats with black dash. Dash has light cracking, odometer does not work, therefore mileage is unknown, but it's at least 68,000. Speedo illumination lights are kind of iffy, one works consistently, other one is a little touchy, so it comes on and off. All exterior lights work, interior dome light does not work, nor does the aftermarket radio or the inside ventilation fans. Windows work, seatbelts in good shape, 4 seatbelts (front two are 3 point belts, back two are lap belts) tires are in very good condition, brakes have just been replaced a couple months ago. Rust is fair on the car, exterior bubbling and rust spots on outside body, some rust on floor pan. Slight damage (scratches and small dent on one rear wheel arch) Door locks are also slightly iffy, the keys we have only work on the ignition and the passenger door. So the procedure is unlock the pass. door, lean over, unlock dirver's door from inside, walk around and hop in!
All in all, buy this vehicle expecting a cheap commuter car that gets great mileage and is admittedly pretty cute. It will not win any beauty contests and it will not be a super solid Bug. But it will get you where you want to go safely and with relative comfort. Local pick-up only please. $2000 O.B.O.
