I sold my Disco II about 6 months ago and have been really itching to get a Land Cruiser. I just passed on a local 97' this morning at a dealer that wanted $5900 plus dealer fees of $600. The Cruiser was pretty rough. One full price deal fell through and I offered $3500 cash. They wouldn't negoatiate so I passed due to the condition. Selling our beloved Land Cruiser! It's in great shape, it's reliable and comfortable.
175,000 miles on the clock so it's just now getting broken-in. The 4.5L straight six has lots of torque and runs smooth. It has full time 4wd with the factory locking differentials (front and rear) so there's nothing you can't get into and out of. Gray leather interior, 3rd row seats (you can fit 8 in this SUV).
Here is a list of maintinance and repairs I have had done:
New brakes front and rear
Tires are fresh and have lots of life left on them
PHH (pesky heater hoses) have all been replaced

First off, I have no interest in parting out the bumper/winch or anything else...This rig has high miles but is a daily driver...Interior is a bit rough, drivers seat has a big tear...Vehicle spent some time up north and has some surface rust underneath...Body is straight...Has new rotors and just had the EGR blown out and O2 sensor replaced, current NC inspection...A/C isn't currently blowing cold...Everything else works...Winch is a Detroit 9000lbs with ARB front bumper mount...Lift is a 3" Skyjacker...I bought it how it sits...Would make a great trail rig or daily driver...I am in Asheville, NC...Call me at 828-329-3946...$6900 OBO...Will post pics

Hi Gang, I have a super clean 1997 40th. Mileage is 130,000. This one is super clean. The weather is bad here today but, I will post pictures as soon as I can. I have recently had a complete tuneup, all fluids, belts, basicly overkill on maintainance new ac condenser, I upgraded the stereo to one from a scion, new wood grain kit. It drips a little oil but that has never been enough to bother me. It's a really nice fzj but I need a pickup truck. I'm posting this for a friend...the truck is not mine I'm just helping him sell it b/c I know more about landcruisers than he does.
It has plenty of battle scars..there are dents and dings. The rust is minimal considering it live here for a good portion of its life.
It has 187k miles.
The reason he is selling it so cheap because it has a problem with the fuel pump relay. It over heats after the truck has been running for a while. Its a common problem on this year 80. There are ways to fix it but he nor I have the time to mess with it.
The truck runs fine but once the relay over heats it cuts off b/c the fuel pump quits working. When it is running it runs,drives and stops, very smoothly.

The truck and powertrain are solid, it is my daily driver and is in good conditin for its age. It has 322K miles on the odometer, but don't let the mileage dictate the condition. The truck has been maintained and well taken care of, recently it had all the seats re-upolstered, starter and alternator replaced, and got a tune-up. It has the locking center diff, third row seats, rear heat, sun roof, okay tires, and tow hitch. The previous owner had the transmission rebuilt, so it shifts very smooth. The only leak that is noticable is the rear main seal

Hey all. So about 2 months ago, economy as it were, I was laid off from work. That puts quite a dent in the good ole' wheeling account! My 94' was going to have to forego the few small upgrades until employment continues. This past weekend my buddies and myself set out on the last camping trip for the season, myself planning to put the cruiser up for the winter after returning. One of my best friends bought this back in Oct 1996 when it had 61k miles on it....it now has 260K miles.
It has a crack in the DS front finder flair and a few scatches but in VERY nice shape for a 93!!

I am selling my '95 Off-white Land Cruiser w/ tan interior. The truck is running great. It has 220k miles on the vehicle, but the engine and steering gear was rebuilt in 2002 at about 115k miles. Have all major repair records. Oil changes about every 3-4k miles. I am the second (non-smoking) owner, it was bought at about 40k miles. Has been in no accidents. Truck is rust free. Lifestyle changes are forcing me to sell my favorite toy: my 1991 FJ80 Land Cruiser diesel conversion. I don't like it, as she's one of a kind. As you can see from the list, I can't make up my mind. Trying to find a good deal on one of these. Been looking for a couple months to find the right one at the right price.
I would like to find one of the following that has good maintenance records and no rust:
- V8 FJ60, auto tranny, must be BAR'd in California
- 1996 to 1997 Locked FZJ80 / LX450
- 2000 to 2003 UZJ100 / LX470 (not looking at newer years due to cost)
This will be used as a weekend truck for camping and going to the snow. I have a price point for each in mind and do not need anything heavily built as I'm sure that will drive up the cost. Would prefer to buy in Cali to save the hassle of having to ship, and worrying if it will pass smog, etc...

When I got the Cruiser it had a bad ECM and I replaced it with a one from a 94. I also rebuilt the front axle with all OEM parts. I replaced the battery with a store brand dry core within the last year. I replaced rotors, pads, and the e-brake shoes all around. I upgraded the pads to 100 series pads for better stopping power. I rebuilt the power steering pump and replaced the factory cooler with a nice one for an automatic transmission. It added some more capacity.
