Hey all. So about 2 months ago, economy as it were, I was laid off from work. That puts quite a dent in the good ole' wheeling account! My 94' was going to have to forego the few small upgrades until employment continues. This past weekend my buddies and myself set out on the last camping trip for the season, myself planning to put the cruiser up for the winter after returning. Friday night up and down the east coast rained hammered down, we were in the clouds at slight altitude then the road gave-way allowing the girl to roll once into the empty camp sight about 18' below the road:whoops:. Luckily no one was hurt (6 of us in the rig) with the exception of a couple of bruises, cuts and glass in our hair all is well. Hell, most of the people let out a "wooo-hoooo" when we landed facing uphill with the tires on the ground... stereo still playing and truck still running! It still tracked straight and drove 75 mph down the highway just as smooth as before with no new noises on the 3 hour trip home.

She's got to go. I'm out of money and no work in the near future. I'll find another one in the future and spend too much $ building it again, I'm sure. Here's the list of upgrades and standards on the rig followed by some pictures. I'm going to give it a week or so to sell complete only so don't ask to part out anything... complete sale only. I'd love to get more but $2500 will do. I know if I part it down to crating the motor I can make out but I don't have a garage and the weather is getting colder. I'm not in front of a computer as much so please direct email me at . I'm glad you guys are here.[/COLOR][/U][/I][/B]

94' White FJ80
177, 240 miles on vehicle (Three owner including me)
Engine runs perfect, burns .5 to .75 quart oil over 2500 mile oil change
Tranny shift smoothly, kicks down correctly with no hesitation

Upgrades includes: Slee 4" front springs, OME Rear J Springs, Front Pro-Comp shocks (1.5" more travel than OME L's) Rear shocks bent on roll, Slee Caster Plate correction (didn't tac weld yet, can be unbolted), Slee Steel Braided Kit (frame to axel) new in package, Warn M12000 winch (used but in great shape, wired in to cab on dual toggles for power and control, original connection under hood in front of battery), new (2 months) Optoma Red Top, Bald Trxus 35x12.50's, new starter, changed tranny fluid 4 times to new fluid, all fluids are fresh except oil at 2k from last change. New muffler (kind of dented :meh:), front driveshafts have new u-joints on both ends (cured all my vibration issues after lift). PIAA 19616 Extreme White 9006 Low-beam bulbs... MADE A HUGE DIFFERENCE!! I'm pulling the stereo and CB

Bad from roll and other stuff would include: A Pillar crushed front passenger side, passenger front door will not open and has no glass left, one rear slider window on passenger side gone, passenger rear-view broken off (mirror still good) front fenders, hood, roof, most doors and rear hatch kind of.... ummm.. well, not straight. All of the accessories still work as normal in the vehicle and out...

no injuries = AWESOME

If you were closer I'd jump..I didn't see in your post, Sorry if I missed it (and alot of folks will want to know) Does it have lockers?

Good luck!

94 with factory electric lockers

I'm stoked too about the lack of injury. It does have flawlessly working electric lockers.

I just got a PM from someone... Email me direct to get in line if you could, I'm only on my bberry for the next coupld days.

Typo on my signature, its a 94

keep it !!!!!!!!!!! cut it up. i had a 1st gen 4runner and sold it for nothing.. i wish i would have cut it up and keep it.. major wheelin then

pm's replied

Like I said, if you could cc on a regular email I'll get back to you much quicker. I have to drive 20 min from the house to get on a pc since I'm unemployed.

$out, I'd love to keep it but without income it truly an impossibility to fix it up... then to throw on another 1200 in rubber soon. Just can't do it right now. But as mentioned, I'll have another.... this was #9 of my cruisers and my 2nd 80 series...and my absolute favorite so far!

I have a 93 burgundy and grey that iI'm going to let go cheap... Slee sliders and tranny skid plate stock height but heavy springs in the back (great handling with little roll) no lockers. leather with wet okole skins (front passenger seat cracked leather)

I'm taking it to carmax as a last option to raise funds. Wife's job cut to 1/2 her hours.

Let me know if you are interested.

I am in Charlotte NC.

Roof came off today. Goes to get fitted for a cage on Tuesday... Here we come Crozet... Pix to follow in build section. Glad to hear you got a job Chris. Hope this gave you a little breathing room.

Wow!

You don't waste time! Get some pics going. Maybe start a new thread in the tech section.

The money helped immensely. I needed some small work done to the Saab and my health ins. is paid up until the new company takes over. Hell, I even had a few bucks left to go on that date! Man, she was hot but I'd trade her for my cruiser any day!!

Thanks and I'm sure I'll see you around!

Took lots of pics of the whole removal. have to get them loaded on the computer then Ill start a thread. I have school tomorrow so hopefully some time on Tues or Wed. After having the practice from the XJ we have this roof cutting down to a science. It took us about 2 hours to strip it down and get it cut off. All thats left to do is pull the remaining windows out of the doors.
