It looks decent and has diff locks and a good amount of recent work. I talked to him and he said the paint on the hood is faded, the driver's leather is torn, and the rear locker does not engage. It still sounds like it might be a decent deal at $4900.
It's about 2 miles from my house, so I am going to check it out in person. If I'm not going to pick it up ;p, I'll update the thread with more information.
I have a 1996 Black / Tan locked FZJ80 for sale in MS. It doesn't smoke at start up or when it's running, and it has excellent oil pressure. The engine is noise-free and it idles and runs great. I have noticed some oil dripping at the front of the engine, and I've not looked hard enough to determine if it's leaking from the cam cover, front cover or the front seal. I always assume it's going to be the "least easy" item to fix, so I'll assume it's the front seal (although that's not where it looks like it's leaking - even if it turns out to be, it's not that difficult or expensive to repair) However, it could be as simple as the cam cover leaking. Also, there is tape on the rubber intake hose, so I presume it'd be the better part...

I had a perfect condition 97 FJ80 until someone decided to t-bone me in the mall parking lot while Christmas shopping a couple weeks ago. What a wonderful Christmas present!
So, now I'm in search of a replacement. This time around I'm looking for a 96-97 FZJ80 or a 98-99 UZJ100.

Our 1993 FZJ80 is ready for a new home! At 238K the engine uses only about a quart every 3,000 miles which seems to be good for the 80 series trucks. Has some body damage under the rear fender flares and the paint is fading. Emerald Green with grey leather interior. The leather is old and worn, although clean. Would make a great off roading rig, especially with the lockeing fornt and rear differentials.
My wife has been driving it for about 6 months, we bought it because it was inexpensive and wanted to try a cruiser. I have seriously thought about restoring it but I have one project already with my 88 Toy pickup.
We have cleaned it up alot, it has THIRD ROW seating and a sunroof, rear heat option, luggage rack...

I live in Cheyenne, WY and have realized that out here in the winter, and in the summer for fun, a 4wd is necessary. After much research, I have decided on a Land Cruiser.
I am not opposed to buying an older FJ60 or 62 IF, it is in good condition. I am not too sure of all the engines and specs, but fuel injection is a must. I would prefer some mods, maybe a 3" suspension lift, tires, etc... If i was to pick up something this old, it would need to be in great condition, I dont mind some cosmetic scratches, etc on the outside (understandable for the age). However, I would prefer a clean inside in good condition.
The same goes for the FJ80. I would prefer something that has similar mods as listed above. Locked would be great...
Alright I have a 1992 FJ80 with a turbocharged 3FE with custom intercooler for sale. Hate to let it go but mama bought a suburban and wants garage space. This truck is the nicest out there and has an extensive list of things done to it. The turbo was recently professionally rebuilt and whomever buys this is getting a sweet truck with great extra power! It truley is a gem and you will not be disappointed. Also has new injectors, new windshield and the rotors have been done!

I'm a new member to the site-been on Expedition Portal for a while and many members recommend this site for info on Cruisers. I sold my Disco II about 6 months ago and have been really itching to get a Land Cruiser. I just passed on a local 97' this morning at a dealer that wanted $5900 plus dealer fees of $600. The Cruiser was pretty rough. One full price deal fell through and I offered $3500 cash. They wouldn't negoatiate so I passed due to the condition. There aren't many local to me so I'm putting out a "WTB" here in hopes of finding something not too far away that is in decent shape. However, my budget maxes out at $5k.
