I'm a serious buyer for that exact truck, have the funds available, and will take on the work of importing from anywhere.
My brother and I are travelling in an identical truck modified into an overlander, and we are travelling the world in it.
It's an amazing rig, but it would be extremely valuable to have one in Canada for a daily driver when we visit home that we can also get parts from it in case of breakdowns. OEM parts are tough to find and waiting for them has cost us weeks or months of time due8ng this trip so far.

1997 Land Cruiser. Has right at 250k. It’s 3xlocked with an Old Man Emu 2.5” lift. Tires are 315/75 R16 BFG KO AT’s with a full size spare. Tires might have 5k on them.
Head gasket was done, head was checked and valves were grinded a couple years ago. Paint is probably a 7/10 as it has 2 very small rust spots and some paint imperfections. Interior is probably a 7/10 also but it does have sone nice escape gear canvas seat covers. AC and heat work. Only problem on interior is the door locks don’t all work electronically. Probably an easy fix it just never bothered me much. Frame has some light surface rust but nothing major.

Well, the time has come to let go of my beloved 80. I have short/long term plans and need some $ to get started. 80 is a 1993 rhd with 1hdt that has been flawless except for alternator and starter, both of which are still oem, just rebuilt. I wouldn't hesitate to take her cross country and have twice from Missouri to Utah. Rig is my semi daily so some of these pics are dirty, but oh well. Not sure on mileage honestly. Odometer says 170k but they swapped it out in Japan prior to auction. I'd say more like 300,000 kilometers based off last verified auction sheet from 2010 I believe. I've had it almost 4 years and done lots of work and mods.

Runs, rides and drives good. New brake booster and master cylinder. New steering gear box and tie rod.
New radiator. Engine cools perfectly. A/C and heat work. Not triple locked. 33" tires with Old Man Emu shocks and springs. No rust. LX is not perfect but not terrible either. lots cheaper than a side X side. Many extra parts included.

This is the legendary 80 series HDJ81 VX Limited Turbo Diesel 1HD-T (RHD). Full time 4WD and center locking diffs. 282,500 km. I have owned it for 10 years. I bought it on the coast and moved inland 2.5 years ago. It has been my daily driver. It has a warn 8000 winch and ARB front bumper. Old Man Emu lift. The only things I added was an oil cooler to help with steady uphills and a bluetooth cd/radio and new speakers. There is a boost gauge installed from a previous owner as well.
It has some minor issues. The lock for the rear door is not working - it is either the actuator or lock itself - currently disabled. The rear fuel release is not working, but can be opened still. Wind deflector on the sunroof is cracked - the sunroof can...

LC market is tough these days for an enthusiast just looking for a stock-ish, rust free 80 to enjoy. Cloth interior is crucial. Open to color. +/- 200,000 miles.

Hey all. Long time lurker. Need to part with my 80. Hopefully there is someone out there looking for a truck like mine!
I bought it in 2018 with just under 250k miles on it. Now stands at 273k. Been a dependable truck, but she needs a few things I don't have time to do, and I have a new driver in the house that needs to learn on something else.
The good:
- New battery
- Replaced radiator and cylinder head in 2022
- Plugs and wires done in 2022
- BFG KO2 with plenty of life left on them
- Sony headunit with Android Auto (and maybe Carplay, I am not sure). Replaced trashed factory speakers with new 6-1/2 Pioneers
- Rear window regulators replaced
- Good interior - was re-covered just prior to me buying it
- Front axle rebuild done...

Up for sale I have an extremely off-road capable 80 series Landcruiser. This is the 2 year only Lexus lx450. It has the more desirable 1fz-fe motor. On the highway it will drive 80 mph stable with zero issues and I trust it on long overland trips. It has the factory front and rear E-lockers and is AWD all the time. Unfortunately, looking at going back to school and need to sell this to afford my masters degree. I would love to see this go to a home where it's put to the use it was built for.
