Hey all - I got help sorting out my LX. Frank at Land Cruiser Heaven in MD was a great guide and helped me get a truck that needed some TLC into great shape. He did a full baseline and we did a bunch of upgrades. I bought this truck to keep me out of NYC on the weekends and I kept it here for 2 months and realized its a huge hassle to deal with an automobile in NYC.

Was looking for an FJ80 a few months ago when this Wrangler came up for sale. Since I have owned it, I have put in 2” lift and new Goodyear Duratracs. Really need a four door.
It is a 6 spd, 91K miles, A/C, pwr windows and locks, Freedom Top. Was light hit front ight and repaired before I purchased. Drives perfectly at all speeds, no wobble. Has Flashpaq tuner as well.
1996 LX450 white with ~235k miles. Strong motor with good oil pressure, runs at normal temps.
Base lined about 3 years ago. New Michelin tires, New OEM radiator, Diff fluids changed out at that time.
Normal wear and tear for age.
3rd row seats still installed, port installed alarm/remote unlock still works, factory running boards removed.

I am searching for a new cruiser. When it comes to buying from Cali, I often see "fees paid to date".
What exactly does this mean?
If the fees are not paid to date and someone purchases that vehicle, and it is going out of state, does that mean the fees are the purchasers responsibility or does it not matter?
Or the purchasers responsibility only if it stays in California? Also does the license plate stay with the truck or does the owner keep it.
Is this typical for most states?
The truck will be going to Canada and I am familiar with the import as I brought a motorcycle from Maine years ago.
I need to have a rust free truck, high mileage is not a deal breaker.

I am regretfully selling my FJ80. I purchased the vehicle from the original owner last year. Unfortunately, the place I had arranged to keep is no longer available, and I do not have room in my driveway.
When I bought the vehicle the originally owner had used it as a vehicle for his wife and 4 daughters to drive, so there was quite a bit of cosmetic damage, and it was kept outside. So, the clear coat had deteriorated, and I had the vehicle repainted. I have also replaced the exterior door handles, mirrors, rear bumper, fender flare, new speakers, replaced antenna, and replaced front bumper with a stock 97. When I bought it, it leaked from virtually every seal. All that oil and grease did a pretty good job of protecting the frame and axles from Midwestern winters. The body wasn't so lucky. I removed the running boards and de-flared only to expose a hole that let in water and salt and created some electrical gremlins (most of which I think I've caught). I did a hack job body weld to close the holes and intended to fix it in the spring but a hit and run driver put the last nail in the coffin on the drivers...
Hello all! I've got a nice 2005 4Runnner SR5 with the V8 motor availible and i'd like to trade for a clean, built 95-97 Land Cruiser with all factory lockers. May also be interested in stock depending on condition.

Well I figured I'd just put it out there officially. I love this rig but i really want to get into an open top rig - FJ40 preferably or 1st gen 4Runner. I bought this from another Mud member who did the install of the 3 link kit with the help of Brian from 4WU. Since then I've fixed all the major body issues, repaired the A-pillar, replaced windshield, welded all the holes from the flares, spoiler etc closed. Rear wheel well has been opened up to the door to tuck 37's with ease or even 40's with bigger bump stops. Fresh factory paint was applied on top with Raptor liner professionally sprayed on below. Also regeared it with 5.29's and added an ARB up front. ARB dual compressor mounted in the cargo takes care of the locker and tire fill...
I have all 6 pieces and the felt is decent, but no clips. Seems as if you need to buy all new pieces and that runs about $400 bucks. Nuts.
If you dont have all clips, some or any from a few people might fulfill my needs :)
