I purchased our 60 series about two years ago and was originally going to let my teenaged son drive it, but bought him a car instead. Lots of recent work done do it since purchase. Up for sale is an ‘87 fj60. Almost 240,000 original miles. White with tan interior, SOA done properly, yota masters high steer kit with Aussie hfs shackles and pins with new polyurethane bushings. Tires are 35x12.50/15 it doesn’t drive like it’s that tall, all new suspension and brakes all the way around, axles have been stripped and re painted with Por-15. Under the hood is the original motor, it’s been re sealed including a new water pump and thermostat. While the oil pan was off, the bearings and rods were checked, no play so the motor is good to go. Fully de smogged, 38/38 dges Webber, maf hei distributor electronic fuel delivery, not the cheap parts house pump. It’s got a fuel labs 4 micron fuel filter and 0-3psi adjustable...
Selling the cruiser, 83 FJ60, new 5 speed H55F manual transmission with only a thousand miles on it. Original 2f engine rebuilt and bored out 10 years ago. Also restored and upgraded a lot of parts at the same time, such as carpet, seats and headliner. We used '89 parts to replace most of the interior including adding power windows, locks, ac, axles, (better gear ratio.) Heavy duty winch, custom bumpers, side bars and top rack. New speakers, double din radio and amp, newer 33x10.5x15 BFG tires.
Minor rust spots but nothing major. Small paint issues, like a couple scratch's and fades, but no body damage.Everything else is mechanically sound.

After much debate I’ve decided it’s time to sell my 1985 FJ60.
Purchased at 179k and it’s currently at 183,267k. I’ve had it for almost 4 years now and bought it as a project truck that I would slowly build. Just don’t have the time and money to keep going. I don’t use it like I should and it sits more then it gets driven which is a shame. It’s still a ways off from what I had envisioned for it but it starts right up and runs smooth and strong.
I’ll start with a list of mods and upgrades I’ve done.
-Did a Holley sniper EFI swap about a year ago. It’s amazing.

The only real wear is on driverside seat and dash is a little sunworn.
