Barn find fj62. Starts up and runs and drives. Brakes are weak. Been sitting for a long time. Interior is 5/10. Body is 6/10. Superficial frame rust. I purchased this truck in late 2015 and have driven it sparingly in the almost 10 years that i have had it. The 2H diesel was transplanted prior to my ownership and runs on 12v.
The truck was also resprayed at some point prior to my purchase. Since i have had it, i have resprayed the roof as part of a complete replacement in 2022, as well as the rear hatch.
The truck is sound and has given me virtually no problems since i have had it. The only known items to be addressed are an intermittent leak from the power steering box and the original tach which was DOA at time of purchase. I have since added an aftermarket tach.

Runs great! Desmogged, Base lined with all new fluids/grease/gear oil and fresh clean gas and new fuel pump. New plugs and plug wires. Transfer case was redone at some point but they used rtv to reseal it. Shifts and operates great. Header installed with carb rebuild, along with new exhaust pipe and muffler. Toying with the idea of selling my fj60. It ran rough when I got it with massive vacuum leaks. I starting pulling off all of the smog related stuff as I was going to install a aftermarket efi system and since then have dedicated my time on other projects. Around 230k miles on it. Interior is in rather good shape but exterior is rusty and dented here and there. Frame is super solid with no concerning rust only surface. Have service records dating back into the late 80s along with the original window sticker. Passenger front door and rear quarters have the worst of the rust. Excellent running, has some rust behind rear wheels, a small amount of damage on front passenger side fender, repaint on hood, the rest of the body is original paint, faded on roof from sun, the rest of the body is decent and still shiney. For sale is my 1984 Fj60. This cruiser has been a labor of love, and has taken my wife and I all over the western US. I’m sad to say goodbye, but we have purchased a new to us URJ200 and have decided that having two built Land Cruisers is just too much.
It is well built and in Impeccable mechanical condition. We have driven this all over the Pacific Northwest, to and from Iowa, back and forth to Albuquerque, and back an forth to Moab more times than I can count. I wouldn’t hesitate to hop in it tomorrow and drive it to Florida. I maintain it very meticulously

The vehicle I have here for sale belonged to me way back when. When I got my diesel, I sold it to my boss, who had it sitting for about 7years. I bought it back with a friend back in '21, who was going to put it back on the road. We took apart the interior and patched the two holes we found in the floor. Then it sat like that until today. The friend is dealing with health issues, the "c" word, and wants/ needs money for obvious reasons.
Now, I have attached the mud thread which shows the work that was done to this truck. While in my possession, it got a bunch of use.
I'm gonna list the good first, and then the bad.

It is what it is and I am offering it as it is. I have driven in approximately 500miles. IT ONLY HAS FRONT BRAKES, I would firmly recommend a trailer pick up. It runs great, has a strong and solid driveline, the interior is respectable and the body is average, maybe a little better, but don't think there isn't rust. I think it a far better than average "project truck" and really just about an average over all example., with the big giant plus of being a diesel w/ 5 speed.
