(Not Mine)(Dealership) 1989 Silver 5-speed RHD Highroof HJ60
Since I spend entirely too much time perusing the various car selling sights looking at old Japanese 4x4's, I sometimes come across what I think are some pretty interesting finds. This, IMO, is one of them: a (at least based on the photos) really nice high-roof HJ60 at a used car dealer just outside of Raleigh, North Carolina, complete with a proper 5 speed, 3 pedal gearbox. Oh, and also, inexplicably, an aftermarket bucket seat in the front passenger position. Would love to know the story behind that! Now, why this dealer has what appears to be rather clean, 1989 JDM high-roof diesel Land Cruiser on their lot that mostly comprises of "normal" used cars, I couldn't say, but if it's as nice as their photos make it look and it's...
Houston, TX: 1985 FJ60 - w/ Rebuilt Engine
Hey folks, I haven't posted much on here. But, the forums have been a great learning experience for me. And who doesn't love looking at other folks' trucks?!?! Anyway, I always wanted an FJ60. In 2015, I had some cash burning a hole in my pocket and I decided to buy one. I spent several months looking for the right one. I found this one in San Antonio, purchased it, and shipped it (I lived in Alabama at the time). Very soon after, I moved to Houston - this was my daily commuter. This Land Cruiser started its life in California and moved to Texas to its second owner. I am the third owner and now, sad to see it go. Unfortunately, I am moving, don't want to take it with me, and would like to pass on the dream of owning this great vehicle...
Utah: 1983 Toyota Land Cruiser
I'm selling my 1983 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ60. I've been using it as my daily driver for the past seven months. I initially purchased this vehicle with the intention of restoring it while I attend college in northern Utah. Upon purchasing this vehicle, I immediately invested close to $8000 to get it mechanically sorted and road worthy as I needed it to be my daily driver. This work included a brand new clutch, resurfacing of the flywheel, new aluminum radiator, heater hoses, air pump delete (bypass pulley), ALL seals replaced, new break booster, break lines, calipers, rotors, drums, and pads (disk breaks in front drums in rear), and tons more work than I can list if you're interested. I have detailed receipts on all off this work and...
My buddy is selling a 1987 FJ60 posted in FB marketplace for anyone interested.... The body has 215k but the engine has 100k. Instead of a carb motor the new engine is fuel injected from later year land cruiser. 4 speed manual. Car turns on everytime, you don’t have to play with it like the carb motor. Has some dings and dents. A bunch of receipts. Looking to get $7.8k obo Link to FB Marketplace
Indiana 1985 Toyota FJ60
1985 FJ60, I do not know the original owner, but it was my father-in-law’s for nearly 20 years until I bought it in 2010. During that time, it mainly sat in a garage at my in-law’s vacation home near Kalispell, MT and I generally use it for hunting, camping and mountain bike trips so it has very low mileage compared to many FJ60s. Most of the work on the truck has been maintenance and repairs including a starter, headlights and wiring harness, Super Bright LED in turn signals and interior lighting, fuel pump, muffler and radiator but no major upgrades e.g., Old Man EMU kit. Original bumpers and rims have been powered coated. The lower portion of the truck was wrapped with a dura-liner to protect it from a lot of the gravel roads it has...
FS 1984 LHD High-Roof Turbo HJ60 - SOLD
Sale pending to a lucky new owner in the central valley. I hope to see her on the trail again soon. Do you dream of a LHD turbodiesel wagon but don't want to spend $15k? Maybe you're looking for a vehicle for a 1HZ, 1HD, or some more exotic engine swap. If you already have a 60 and want to swap over some unusual parts like my Aussie rear windows or full floating rear axles. If you like to wrench, this is the rig for you. I've been planning to sell my HJ60 after buying an HZJ75 for my next project. I just found a Troopy for so now this wagon needs to go. It also needs some work and I'd just as soon let the next owner decide how to proceed, so I'm listing it cheap. If you're up for a project, this could be the cheapest way...
Toronto, Canada - 1986 HJ60
This is the HJ60, which is the 6-cyl diesel. Very rare to find in a left hand drive. Bought this beauty from someone in Saskatoon and had it shipped over. Had to do a bunch of work to get it certified, but she's now roadworthy. Has a new set of Michelin LTX Defenders. Am currently running it as my daily driver. I was planning on getting this thing back to being pristine, but life circumstances have changed and we will hopefully be leaving the country in the next few months, so unfortunately I won't be able to see this project through. 4x4 still works well, just had the gas tank reconditioned. Comes with an almost new ARB bull bar which is worth over $1000 on its own. Also has a swing-out spare tire carrier on the back. Here's the...
Selling my 1984 Fj60 & Project, 100,400 origianl miles
I have a 1984 FJ 60 with 100,400 original miles, runs great. Body has significant rust, I found an rust free body tub, and over the years have gathered new fenders, extra doors, tail gate etc. I was going to rebuild the FJ. I have lost interest and don't have the time. I would prefer to sale whole project with extra body tub, body parts and Cruiser as one sale. Im asking 13K. Again the cruiser runs great, needs body work. I can provide more pics if interest. Thank you
Hey y'all - no affiliation, considered it but decided to go another direction (my stepson is 18 and will be a great driver... someday). Spoke with Ken, the seller, who's nice and upfront, realistic about the condition and pricing. Wants it to go to a good home. I haven't seen it in person but if someone needs an inspection, I'd love the excuse to drive out there later this week/end. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/440577630398937/?referralSurface=messenger_lightspeed_banner&referralCode=messenger_banner
https://phoenix.craigslist.org/evl/cto/d/tempe-1989-toyota-pickup-truck-land/7285349176.html I have no affiliation with this - just noticed it posted today. The ad header is confusing - says $25K but that's for 2 cars. The LC is asking $17.5. The car is in Phoenix and ad claims to potentially be a one owner car. If true, this would likely have very little rust, though could have dry gaskets, vinyl cracks, etc that comes with heat and sun exposure.
