Weird. Though general flakiness seems to be standard issue for Craigslist. I’ve had a lot of great transactions there, and a lot of frustrating ones too. Oddly, it’s the lower priced stuff that seems to cause the most grief, whether buying or selling.
I talked with the guy on the phone, he seemed nice enough and it sounded like a decent parts truck, especially for the money. I got the impression he was overwhelmed with responses though so that may explain the flakiness. I agree with you that the better the deal on CL, the more painful its going to be.
