Cleaning out the yard! We have pretty much stripped this truck but the drivetrain is complete and it ran pretty dang good. It's just ugly as sin! If somebody needs a good drivetrain here you go. 1983 FJ60 in great condition with 134k miles. Runs strong. Have owned for 12 years and only had to replace the smog pump (the day I bought it!). Used as a daily driver for one of the 12 years, unfortunately have not been driving it as much so time to let someone else enjoy it. Everything is functional from the hubs to the washer fluid for front and rear wipers as well as rear heaters. No radio and AC does need charged again. 1985 FJ60 mostly stock, 3-owner with original paint. Has seen light duty and mainly road miles throughout it's life resulting in a very tight drivetrain and plenty of potential. 231k, original powertrain. Uses no oil. Runs and drives well. Late 85 model is H55f bolt-in ready with correct crossmember and 4 speed spacer.
PO had the rig for 24 years in the California desert, so rust is 98.65% non-existent (no such thing as a rust-free 60, unless it's never been used!). The Cruiser did suffer some sun damage mainly to dash (cracked), carpet (some fading and rear cargo section rotted beyond repair), seat upholstery cracked in places, seat bottoms were partially recovered at some point and foam is decent still. Grille was peeling badly, so...
1987 FJ60 with 155k miles located in Davis, California. Rust free with some minor dents and dings on body. Original Powertrain (2F w/ 4 Speed Manual). Recently replaced radiator (previous one had small leak). Also replaced thermostat, hoses, water pump, fuel pump, rebuilt carburetor and replaced all vacuum lines. New Fuel Filter, Oil Filter and Air Filter. Starts and runs well.
A/C does not work, refrigerant leaked from system, have not investigated replacing. Typical amount of oil leaking from a cruiser of this vintage (marking its territory!). Does come with new Oil Pan Gasket. Headlight washer bottle is cracked in the engine, hasn't been needed much in CA.

This FJ60 is a unique vehicle.
I've owned this truck for over 13 years. It has been very good to my family. It is in need of some engine repair and I just don't have the time to do the work. The truck starts and runs strong but is in need of head gasket.
This will be a great project for someone who has the time. They don't make trucks like this anymore.

I looked and drove this just not for my needs. Drives well
99.9% rust free, paint scrape RR quarter panel with surface rust, 1"dent on roof with same
small dent/ripple front right wheel well. front seats need to be redone, dash is cracked above the
speedo. The smog stuff is 90% gone, needs carb will not idle with out chock, gasket needed on mortar
leaks oil (egr not in line), knuckles leaking some. Again not mine

Pros: A Santa Barbara, CA car from new to 245k. Car now has 269k. Driven to VT about 10 years ago, only driven in VT winters intermittently over the last 4 years. Totally original, down to all of the California emissions (which can be pulled). Interior is a 9.5/10 - certainly the nicest I've seen in any ads (no dash cracks, the slightest hint of a crack on the driver's seat vinyl). Freshly rebuilt transmission (great detents and feel), with clutch done at the same time. Completely rebuilt front brakes (calipers, etc). Every trim piece present. Brand new (7 miles) BFG All Terrain T/Os on mint 5-spoke wheels. Never in accidents; doors shut properly; get in and drive it back to CA (plan a long trip - it's a 4 speed!). A/C works!

I've decided to part with my 62. It's about as close to stock as you'd want (OME medium lift). It's been my daily driver for the last 2 years. I love driving it, but I hate that I'm putting miles on as a DD. So it's time for something a little more economical. (I know I'm going to regret this in a few months.)

1982 FJ60, 222k miles, Root Beer Brown, Clean Title, 2f completely rebuilt three years ago (at 218k) with Man-a-Fre power pack kit added (Weber 38DGAS Carb- Hei Distributor with Bosch plug wires- Tuned Ceramic Coated Headers). New exhaust system. Old man emu/TPI 2.5’ lifted suspension. Reupholstered seats and headliner. Custom build full length square tube Safari rack. Minimal rust (see photos), paint is oxidized on hood. I am moving overseas and must sell my 1989 FJ62. It is very clean and all original. I just got it back from paint a few weeks ago. It is my daily driver and has only minor issues. The fuel gauge is inop and there is a missing wheel stud on the left front wheel (but I have replacements). I rebuilt, resealed, flushed and upgraded the A/c system to R134, so it blows nice and cold. I have it listed on Ebay but I am trying to reach a wider audience. I am listing it for $11,000 but will make special considerations for IH8MUDers.

Offering my 1988 HJ61 VX for sale.
I am selling my HJ61 that has been comprehensively gone through. This is not an expo “build”. The fuel has not been turned up, wiring has not been hacked, and appears to have a relatively easy life. During my ownership it has been nothing more than a weekend runaround and the only dirt it has seen has been my pasture. It is a very clean but usable original example of a 28 year old truck.
