I bought this a little while ago and havent touched it since I bought it. Now that we just had a baby I know it will be much longer before it is touched. Just looking to sell as a whole rig not wanting to part it out as I have no time.
Fairly straight, has rust in jams and on lower rocker. floors around the front seats are rusted, can see the ground. the roof has bondo in it that is cracked/peeling. dash in nice shape. needle on guages still bright orange, has all padding on dash.
custom rear bumper-nothing special, and stock looking/heavier duty front winch bumper.

There is an interesting 79 FJ55 for sale on Craigs List in Tucson. It has low miles, factory AC and Power Steering. Make offer price. Phone number is 520 250 6423. I live in Prescott but have a Land Cruiser buddy near there who could view it for anyone who might be interested.

In So.Cal, Little Rust As Mush As Possible And Should Be Original '75 And Up
Here is the deal I'm selling my truck and I don't want to and wasn't planning on it but I am going to need something I can drive across the country a couple of times a year for the foreseeable future. Except for some minor body work this is a total runner. It was purchased in Fairbanks Alaska and driven to Portland and then to Wyoming and back. I trailered it to Asheville NC where I am now. The previous owner went through the whole truck and fixed almost everything. What he didn't I did. The motor, transmission, transfer case and differentials were all rebuilt 12,xxx miles ago at the Toyota dealer in Fairbanks. Lots of other new stuff, radiator, rear window motor, rewired, halogen headlights, wheel bearings, tie rod ends, 55...

1976 FJ55. Unmodified All Stock Original. Factory 4 speed, radio, Disc brakes. A/C. New OEM Toyota Windshield. Toyota Tech Valve adjustment and tune. Starts quickly, stops straight, runs & drives well.
Interior tired, ok, the seats, dash and headliner are worn out. Body is great. No rust on top. A few small pinholes on one rocker. Front fenders are solid, very minor breakthrough on one side. These have been replaced somewhere along the line. Front of top has some dents in it.
Tires, clutch, Brakes good. A/C unknown, missing belt. This is a workhorse, not a show pony. $ 4650

I am selling my 79 fj 55. Im located in Asheville Nc. This truck has been mechanically restored. Almost all of the work has been done at the Toyota dealer. Has 12,xxx on the new drivetrain. Interior is 8 out of 10. It has a 55 gallon gas tank. It will go about 900 miles to a tank. I have almost all of the receipts for the past 15 years. It has only had mobil one in the the engine and trans transfer and difs since the rebuild. call if you have any questions
