Orlando FL 1976 FJ40
Got a 40 here I am selling for a customer. We were going to do a build on it but it is way rougher then we initially realized. Its a 76, (Dec 75). Clean Florida title. First off, the good. It does run and drive, steer and stop, it does have power steering, everything does seem to work, wipers, lights, gauges, etc. Factory front discs. Amazingly the dash only has 1-2 unoriginal holes drilled in it. It has a SBC (not sure if 350/305, I can try to get a read on the block number this week), th350 auto, single piece case. Front driveshaft appears to be fence post. Has a nice Lokar shifter but needs to be adjusted. New Champion radiator. Motor and transmission crossmember mount setup needs to be re done. Suspension is mystery 3” springs...
Lafayette, Louisiana 1966 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40 w/hard top
1966 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40, desert beige, excellent patina, outstanding frame & body! Still has some issues but overall in great shape for this vintage! $15,000 cash. Frame / VIN number: FJ4035483 Engine: 6 cylinder in line (Note: motor is circa 1968 or 1969 vintage). Transmission: 3 speed with floor shift Transfer case: Stock Milage: Unknown. Listing this for a friend. Not my vehicle but I have been involved with it since its acquisition, and I can vouch for all that is said in this description. We acquired this 1966 FJ40 with a bad engine out of East Texas in 2019. Actually, the engine was not “bad” – it just had low compression in two of the cylinders, but while we were preparing to address that, there was a hard freeze here...

It pains me to do this but I just don’t see myself putting the time in that this deserves. So up for sale it goes to someone who can give this the time and attention it needs. I’d prefer local pick up and hopefully someone wanting to keep this original… 1971, mostly unmolested, FJ40 with column shift. Only custom mods was a PO power steering upgrade, dual battery setup and a rear tow receiver. Since purchasing in 2011 the following have been R&R: All engine gaskets replaced, pretty much doesn’t leak any more. All new suspension, OME 2.5” Rebuilt Carb Replaced clutch, master and slave replaced. Flywheel resurfaced. Rebuilt front axle - new TREs, knuckle job and new bearings. Brake booster rebuilt - by Booster Dewey. New master...
Hey Folks, My '68 FJ40 Engine is going to be parted out beginning in February. The engine lost compression heroically at 11K elevation in Colorado last summer. Instead of a re-build I am upgrading to a rebuilt early model 2F engine from Man-A-Fre. Parts I'm pretty sure will be up for grabs: Carb (Rebuilt 2 years ago by Mark's Off Road) with extra parts and a Keyster rebuild kit; Fuel Pump, Air Cleaner Assembly; Distributor; - potentially the manifold (no cracks) and so forth. Will use what I can on the new 2F but I don't think it'll be that much. I wanted to get the word out there early. So just let me know if you're interested in these F Engine parts or others I might not have mentioned. I'll start posting pics once I start pulling...
Bored at work....sorry I didn't have time to break them out into individual ads like OAKWEB does. Props to him! I wish there was a tab for FACEBOOK like there is for Craigslist and EBAY. I tried to leave out any of the "high" priced 40's (obviously this is subjective). Several have original paint in various states of repair. I tried to make sure all were running but may have overlooked one or two. I also tried to leave out any obvious South American 40's if I could tell. I have no affiliation with any of these: https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/2528597804034651/?ref=saved&referral_code=null https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/2428277297389657/?ref=saved&referral_code=null...

Maine: 1978 FJ40
not mine, i drove up to Maine and checked it out, pretty solid truck that runs good and interior is really good, truck came out of Arizona so not an east coast rust bucket. Seems like a DIY restoration and paint job that is relatively well done but still needs work in a few areas. Driven over 3000 miles since the new tires were installed in 2019 at 76k miles so it is a driver.
Hello, I am in Houston, Texas and looking for an FJ 40 or 42. I’m flexible on color. I’m not an off-roader and would mainly use it around town and on flat roads at our farm. I would like for it to be as original as possible and don’t love a lot of the off-road modifications. Disc brakes are a plus. I don’t want to do a major restoration. Price range 20-35k preferred. Thanks!
1972 FJ40- What do you think Dad?
Hey all, Apologies if this should have gone in the tech forum- I wasn't sure after reading the User Guide. I'm interested in a 1972 Toyota Landcruiser FJ40 posted in my neck of the woods a few days ago. My dad isn't really a car guy, so I'd like to access the collective wisdom of the group. 21.5K miles. Guys says it starts and runs "good." Needs a clutch master cylinder ("current one leaks onto floorboard") and a valve cover gasket (from email with owner). Rust: "One quarter panel has about a half dollar cancer spot coming through, nothing anywhere else" If I make the trek to look at it, what should I be watching out for? Any mechanical issues I should be able to diagnose, even without being able to drive it far because of the...

Monterey ca: 1968/ Toyota/fj40
1968 Toyota Land Cruiser fj40 This fj40 has been upgraded for daily driver use as well as off road competency. Cosmetics were never a consideration with this land cruiser, it has an old paint job and a few funky little rust spots on the corners of tub and door sills, but is very solid , straight and stock overall. Never wrecked and clean California title. It has its original engine 5x,xxx miles, but upgraded to headers and a Webber carburetor. The transmission is a Toyota 5 speed, making it much more drivable on highway than the original 3 speed. Also power steering has been added as well as an onboard air compressor. It has rear bumper/swing out tire carrier/rack and roof rack, and a front bumper with warn winch. Lifted using...
1972 FJ40 For Sale or Trade (MN)
BARN FIND!!! Not really, but that’s where it is now. i keep it covered in my barn, so technically it fits 😊 I picked up this stalled project a while back, and it’s still stalled. I’m just not going to get to it. I’m offering it here at a loss before I list it to the non mud community. The chassis is completely redone. Fitted with rough country suspension kit, springs and shocks. Front axle was updated with FJ60 disc brakes and FJ 60 power steering. Borgerson collapsable steering shaft. All front steering and tie rods are new. Shock towers were replaced with F250 towers. Tub was repainted by the PO. Comes with hard doors not installed, and an new set of Aqualu half doors. No top.
