1969 fj40 patina build project
Nice dry central valley california 1969 fj40. I bought this a while back to start a nice capri blue patina build. This 40 was left at a body shop as an abandoned project. Over the years parts went missing and it was left outside. Parts of the original paint were sanded down in preparation for a new paint job. Luckily they didnt get far and 75% of the og paint remained. I have spent months piecing it back together and trying to use original capri parts. The parts not original to the truck is the windshield frame, hood, bib, drivers door and the pass barn door. I have rattle canned those parts to get as close to the og paint. This truck is 98% rust free!!! Super solid frame and tub. The only spots that need work is the left corner sil(...
1968 FJ40 in Colorado with TONS of parts $5500
So the background on this FJ40 was that it was in perfect running order 10 years ago. Was a daily driver. Motor had only 2000 miles on it and the FJ was wrecked. Avoiding a deer on the road it went nose first into a ditch. Front frame horn is bent, but doesnt need a full frame replacement IMHO. Although I do have a full frame and extra set of axles that goes with it. This is the last of my FJ40s so Id like to sell it along with a LARGE pile of parts. Heaters, air cleaners, front grills, doors, headliners, headlight bezels, hubcaps, driveshafts, axles, you name it and its probably in the pile. No, I dont want to sell the parts seperately. Id like to just sell the whole lot. This vehicle runs and drives. Could wheel it now, or work on...
1969 FJ40 Missouri
SOLD ! I have a 1969 40 that I’m not going to ever get around to restoring. I’ve had it since 2012. Acquired it as parts rig, but decided it was too complete. Has the F engine which was locked up when I got it. Three on the tree and vacuum transfer case. Dash is uncut. Rear sill is toast, but overall still some solid sheet metal. Some PO had cut some rust out of front fenders. All glass intact, I have the corner pieces too. Frame appears solid with no rust through areas. The fiberglass hardtop is held on by a couple of bolts, that’s why it looks odd. This is ready for someone else to restore. Solid start in my opinion. Asking $5,000. Clear Colorado title in hand.
NE Ohio 1979 Toyota FJ40 Land Cruiser
Howdy folks...I'm placing my daily driver for sale. I drive this truck year 'round and it has truly been very reliable and enjoyable to me. Anyone who knows these trucks recognizes they are simplistic and give the meaning to utilitarian. This truck is no different. It requires a lot of patience and finesse. It drives city street speeds just fine. After all it is 43 years old. The manufacture date January 1979. This is a mostly complete, modestly modified, factory original US spec truck with matching engine production number, frame and VIN numbers. However, this truck is a PROJECT vehicle. It will require a lot of work to be anything close to stock and safety. For anyone who is interested in buying this truck I will provide as much...
1972 Toyota FJ40 - (Atascosita) Won't last long, green beauty with pinstripes looks original paint 1 pic sorry
not mine $15,000 https://houston.craigslist.org/cto/d/humble-toyota-fj40/7454838914.html 1972 Toyota FJ40 Land Cruiser for sale Bought year ago and ended up buying a second one so this has been in my garage gathering dust, vehicle is in solid condition with new brakes, front seals, new carb, new tires and rims all the way around would be a great original FJ for a lease or just to cruise around not many of these in this good of condition without being a rust bucket and frame being shot, well this is the unicorn, all these vehicles have some surface rust but overall it’s a nice solid ride Please no tire kickers, I’m ready to move this quickly so be close to asking Thanks
Looking for 76-82 FJ40 nationwide (no rush to find perfect one)
Looking for a very well sorted/clean/fairly restored and fairly stock FJ40 stateside. Prefer non-SA build, but depends on the condition and care. Prefer one with factory hardtop and original engine and decent records/paperwork and clear title. I would normally look for a FJ that needs work (found a few on some FB groups) and do the restoration myself, but have made the decision that I need to enjoy the car sooner than much later with a full rebuild. The last car I finally restored almost killed me (angry wife), but was an amazing experience. I am located in N. GA and have plenty of garage space to keep my future FJ protected and happy and dry. I am fairly active on BAT as well - looking for the perfect one there as much as I can...
1971 FJ-40 in So. Cal.
All So I'm looking to sell a fairly heavily modified 1971 FJ-40. If I'm going at this wrong I apologize, I don't post on IH8Mud so I'm not entirely sure of the protocol & hopefully this lands in the correct forum... So as I mentioned it's far from stock and probably not a good candidate for restoration, but allot of mods. The Landcruiser was a deceased family member's, I wanted to keep it, but have too many other projects... The cool... 1971 (pre-smog)... 1976 front axle with disk brakes & a limited slip diff. A semi float rear D-60 with a Detroit... (drum brakes)... I believe 4.10 gearing... I believe a Rancho 3 to 4" lift... I believe some true 10"X15" wheels (VERY old 33" tires barely rollers) Power steering & brakes... A port...
1977 Toyota FJ40 Land Cruiser **No Reserve** - NOT MINE
SOLD for $27,700 Thought this would be fun to follow since it is NO RESERVE... This classic 40 was Just purchased from a lady who was related to the original owner. she had it listed on a small local advertisement. She advertised 42K actual miles which I was skeptical at first until closer inspection. There is no doubt about the mileage. This cruiser retains all its stock parts including the 2F engine and 4speed trans. it started right up and you could barely hear the engine run ! Runs and drives excellent and stops and handles like it supposed to. Mechanically this thing is ready to go. The doors click shut and don’t need to be slammed. The body is super solid and original . No metalwork was ever done to this 40. If you...
1981 BJ 42
Going to try to update this with some of the questions I’ve been getting in DMs. I kinda forgot I’d posted her on here, but this is the only place it’s listed at the moment. Former Canadian vehicle. I imported it around 2011/2012. South Dakota Titled. Was 24v, converted to to 12. Factory 3B, 4 speed. Mileage is unknown for sure, but I was told somewhere just over 200k kilometers when I bought it. I drove it home from Kitimat, BC. From that time it’s been between Montana, South Dakota and Utah numerous times. I’ve put maybe 6,000 miles on it with not a hiccup. EVERYTHING works, No aftermarket modifications Final note would be that it wouldn’t be a “numbers matching” 1981. IIRC, The body was sourced from a dry climate (desert...

1965 FJ40 in Atlanta, GA, Dealer Swap 327 V8
Currently located in Atlanta, GA as of July 2020, I am selling my 1966 FJ40. It has been an Arizona car most of its life, bought new with a 327 V8 swap completed by the dealer. This is a one-owner Arizona title car with no accidents or bodywork. I believe the color is Coronado Beige. The patina has been sealed with a layer of clear coat. The interior was recently updated and the car is driving well. Tires were recently replaced as well. It is titled as a '66, but was produced in June 1965. I am asking $20,500. I have the car nearby and can add additional photos or video as necessary. Also, I am aware that the bezel in these photos needs to be flipped. Upgrades: 1968 roll bar New holly 4 barrel carburetor New tires New brakes and...

SoCal: 1975 Toyota FJ40 w/SBC
Back in September, I got a new job in my home state of Minnesota working as an engineer for Polaris. When planning our move back, I decided that buying a house for my new wife and I was more important than holding on to my FJ40. After lots of thought, I decided to leave the FJ40 out with one of my buddies in California with the intent to sell the FJ there instead of paying to move it back to Minnesota with me. Fast forward 6 months, and I am finally getting around to putting together the for-sale post. Quick Specs: Price: $17,000 Year: 1975 Make: Toyota Model: FJ40 Color: Blue (original: Mustard Yellow) Engine: Small Block Chevy 350 Transmission: Original 4 speed (H42) Brakes: FJ60 disk front, stock drum rears Tires: 35" BFG Mud...
