SoCal: 1975 Toyota FJ40 w/SBC
Back in September, I got a new job in my home state of Minnesota working as an engineer for Polaris. When planning our move back, I decided that buying a house for my new wife and I was more important than holding on to my FJ40. After lots of thought, I decided to leave the FJ40 out with one of my buddies in California with the intent to sell the FJ there instead of paying to move it back to Minnesota with me. Fast forward 6 months, and I am finally getting around to putting together the for-sale post. Quick Specs: Price: $17,000 Year: 1975 Make: Toyota Model: FJ40 Color: Blue (original: Mustard Yellow) Engine: Small Block Chevy 350 Transmission: Original 4 speed (H42) Brakes: FJ60 disk front, stock drum rears Tires: 35" BFG Mud...
Idyllwild 1969 FJ40 - Red
Not mine and no affiliation - $20k - "IF" this checks out as good as the pictures seem to represent, this would be a fun 40 at a decent price. "This is a great functioning daily driver! The Restoration was done in the late 90s with a small block Chevy 350 and 700r4 automatic transmission. Great combination of power and transmission. Cruises at 80mph on the highway with great off-road ability. I’m flexible on the price just wanted to start somewhere I’m seeing buckets of crap go for more than this. Give me a call make me an offer let’s talk." https://inlandempire.craigslist.org/cto/d/idyllwild-1969-fj40-land-cruiser/7450771691.html
1977 BJ40 12V Diesel SW Missouri
I bought this cruiser for my wife but she wants a 60 series so up for sale it goes. The truck came from a sugar plantation in Costa Rica and is a little rough but seems to be complete. It was a daily driver until 6 mo ago when the PO moved out of country, she wasn't able to take the truck with her so I bought it. It's been in storage for the last 6 mo but it fired up with a jump. Some work has been done like the rad was just recored, and new clutch master and brake master cylinders were installed. All glass is good new tires. Has some rust and the top is damaged. Frame and floors seem solid most rust looks to be surface but ask if you want to see anything specific. Exterior has had some sort of rhino lining applied. Clean title I'm...
73 or 74 FJ40 Eastern PA
The time has come to sell my 73 or 74 FJ 40. I don't know much about it, bought it with the intent to refurbish it. Turns out, I have more than enough distractions btwn my 80 and my E30 to last a long time. I got it to fire up at one point when I first brought it home in December but haven't done anything since. Plow works. Happy to send more pics. Looking for 2800 obo.
1970&1971 FJ40's
Has been converted to a SBC, been parked for ten years, ran when parked. VERY clean comparatively. Second FJ was rolled, and the fiberglass top is gone, windshield frame bent etc, but is all original and ran when it got parked next to the blue one, not title for it though. I have lots of pics but it will only allow 5. $12k for the pair 406-439-1486 Located in Montana
not mine, no affiliation. was watching/saw it sell at the auction page he originally bought it from then saw this pop up a few days ago. it's super rusty. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/999276430679778/?ref=search&referral_code=marketplace_search&referral_story_type=post https://www.purplewave.com/auction/200318/item/DD2646/1971-Toyota-FJ40-Passenger_Vehicles-Passenger_Vehicle-Missouri
1970 FJ40, located Southern Idaho
Meet Opal, she is a 08/1970 FJ40. I have had this rig for about 15 years. the motor was rebuilt just before I got it. I love this girl but she needs an owner that can show her off and give her the attention she deserves. She has been sitting a lot of that time, I drive her in the warmer weather. She runs great and is fun to drive, she is Capri Blue and has beautiful patina. She is almost all original. I had seats reupholstered to baby blue. I have a set of newly made rear jumpseats, still in the box. Has hard top and doors. I have a bikini top for her, used one summer. Original inline 6 motor, 3 speed on the column manual transmission. 2 gas tanks. New tires and new spare. New brake booster and master cylinder, and clutch slave...
Who's moving a 40? I'm on the hunt. Runner or non-runner but must have a title, and be complete. Color immaterial. Only stipulations: - no frame damage/alteration - no rock crawlers - must be F or 2F engine! Let me know if you're in the know - looking to pull the trigger on one in late December/January. I'd prefer a running project.
WI - 1968 FJ40 w/ 1976 Drive Train & Correct 68 Hardtop - Price Drop
I will try to list all the meaningful details below: 1968 FJ40 runs and drives, clear 1968 title. (located in zip code 53406) 1976 FJ40 drive train (factory disc brake front end and the 4-speed). Not sure if the rear axle assy is 68 or 76. I could take a look at the rear drive shaft flange to see if it is a large or small pattern. This was a project that I picked up a while back assuming I would get around to completing it as another driver but I need to pick up the pace and finish my 67. To finish the 67 will take a load of cash so it's time to offload other projects and parts that are taking up space and diverting my focus from the 67. Mid floor was replaced by a PO but they replaced it with thinner material that original. The...

Pittsburgh PA/Youngstown OH 1969 FJ40 with title (orig. from Texas) + 1977, 1978 (parts trucks)
1969 (pre-emissions) FJ-40, hardtop (have hard doors as well), with title. Was originally from west Texas, so mostly surface rust. Drivers floor pan and rocker panel have worst rust (& need replaced). Last I checked, these parts were avail aftermarket and inexpensive (from "Cool Cruisers of Texas," -I believe). Frame is good, though it has surface rust. Was running fine in the past, but currently not running. Engine is not locked up though. Comes with very rusty 77 and 78 parts trucks (77 & 78 mainly consisting of engine and drive train -everything goes together). The 78 also ran previously (has the 2-F engine, 4-speed trans & front disc brakes), but the 77 I have never had running. These have been sitting inside a building. Use the...

1977 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40
Hello - just thought it might be a good idea to let you all know my FJ40 will be on BaT shortly - guessing sometime this week. I might be able to add a link when it posts? For those of you looking for close to a 'Survivor' - that has never had any body work - it might catch your eye. I thought it was best not to restore and re-paint it - so it does have a couple smaller dents, scratches and that Patina finish. I did decide to make it something comfortable to drive - and there were things that seemed to make sense to replace without loosing that sense of originality. So - I replaced the upholstery, replaced the Headliner, replaced the dash pad, replaced the Door weather-stripping, re-arched the leaf springs and replaced the shocks. Dash...

ABQ NM: 72/78 FJ40
Have a 72 fj40 with a clean NM title. With most parts from a 78 78 disc front 2F with emissions garbage still attached 4 speed Good tires 5 matching No top/doors Tubs pretty rusty. Would need floor patches, a rear sill, and I have no clue what’s under the diamond plate. Nor did I care. I had no plans of keeping the tub. Seats are rough but factory Turns are missing Runs and drives, shifts well thru all gears. Needs carb adjustment or vacuum. Stalls when brakes are hit sometimes unless you give it some throttle or idle. I bought it locally in ABQ in OCT and intended to rob all the stuff for my 63. But have decided to pick up something closer to my new location in FL/GA if possible. $6500
1976 FJ40 the [green] Goblin
I'm itching for another project, and financially can't keep 2 cruisers with as much money as I blow on crap.... I am listing my 1976 FJ40 here in this new thread. the Build thread, is listed below in my signature line. This is a MS truck. I am mostly sure that it has been in the Jackson area for its entire life. When I got it, the odometer read 82500 miles. It starts every time I turn the key.It is a very solid truck with minimal rust and drives straight & true whether going 10 or 80. I have put almost 1100 miles on it since the summer upgrades and it runs like a top. 250 of those miles were on a backroads jaunt to the MS sand dunes in the summer heat. It ran flawlessly. specs: 1976 FJ40 Rustic Green [GM Performance V8...
