I love the patina on this rig, I dont think I would change a thing except get a top and doors. I wonder if it is really in the condition the seller claims it is in.

Seems like hit or miss if a couple bidders take it sky high these days...then seems 50/50 if payment comes through from the stories I hear from sellers.
1972 Toyota FJ40 Land Cruiser w/ Chevy 383 Stroker - 24k Orig. Miles (LV, NV)
I'm trying to help out a neighbor by listing this for him. He was referred to this site by another member. It's a 72 FJ40 with 24k original miles on the body. The Chevy 383 stroker has approximately 10k miles on it. This truck is virtually rust free and does run but will need some electrical work. As far as I know, it currently will need only a fuse box and ignition to be up and running completely. I've posted an ad on Craigslist with a lot more information. We are located in Las Vegas, NV and the truck would need to be picked up. I've tried to learn as much about the truck to answer questions so you can call or text me at 702-417-4416, my name is Ty. You can also get with the owner Brett at 702-275-7629, he currently accepts calls...

I've been driving by this rig everyday for quite sometime now, so I figured he might need help selling it. I think I figured out why he hasn't sold it. $35k! No affiliation with the dealer but would be willing to look it over for someone. It is located in Wichita, Ks. http://www.autohousestuttgart.com/1978_Toyota_Toyota_Wichita_KS_198876318.veh
The time has come after almost 19 years for me to sell my 1976 Toyota Landcruiser. A new baby and busier life have taken my time away from her. It’s time for someone else to enjoy her another 20 years. You would be the third owner. She has the stronger and bigger 2F engine with 77,766 miles on her. The engine is in perfect working order and overall she has no leaks. She runs smooth and shifting her 4 speed transmission is easy. She does have a newly rebuilt OEM carburetor from cruiserparts.net and installed by the great folks at Toyota Tech in Fort Mill, South Carolina. Her front disk brakes work excellently (drum in the rear). There is very little rust on her original body considering how old she is, but I’m sure having her garaged...
FJ40 tranny and transfer case
This transmission and transfer case is off a 1973 Landcruiser FJ40 Cruiser. The cruiser fell off a car carrier when being delivered (when brand new) and the roof was crushed. The owner took delivery of the FJ and somewhat repaired the roof. After driving it what we estimate to be well under 10k miles, it was parked in a storage garage and dismantled for body repair but never reassembled. This tranny/transfer case still shows the factory white paint used to designate grease fittings, this has not been painted or altered to cover up anything - it is exactly as taken from the garage. It appears to be in good working order. (607)829-6315 8am to 8pm Eastern Daylight Time.
Both of my Fj40's - '77 and '78 - Maine
CLOSED - No Longer available (at this time.) I drove the '78 around today and figure I will sell other stuff first. Hard to part with. Thank you for your interest. :steer: After I drove it today... I realized how crazy I was to even think about selling them. I don't really want to sell, but financially, I should. I just have too many projects - not enough money to keep them all. One is a 1978 - FJ40 - aluminum tub, hard top, decent tires (BF all terrains), engine swap done last year (2F for 2F) - runs great - has shackle reversal - currently inspected and could be a daily driver. Needs a little work - rust starting to pop on doors and hood. Original engine will come with it - but it was pushing oil...
1982 fj40 very original with some upgrades
Putting up my uncut 1982 FJ40 of or sale with power steering. The truck is in perfect running condition and is a daily driver. Very original, with original paint, everything works, right down to the interior light and the seat belt buzzer. I've owned the truck for the past 12 years and its been pampered the entire time. I recently installed a set of tie rod ends and the truck drives and tracks great. Here is a list of upgrades let me know if anyone has any questions. Duel fuel tanks New OEM carburetor purchased in 2009 Original OME (not Dekkar) suspension system MAF shackle reversal 16 inch OEM split wheels purchased brand new in 2009 255/85/16 BFG mud terrains Kaymar duel pivot rear bumper with tire carrier and camping...
1970 FJ40, no title. Last registered in Illinois probably in the late 1970s. I do have a bill of sale from the previous owner. Obtaining a title in WI for something of this vintage probably wouldn't be a problem. I just never did so because this FJ was on plow duty for a few months and has sat ever since. I have another 1971 FJ40 with an SBC 355 and don't have any interest in restoring this one or parting it out. At one point I wanted a Toyota engine in the 71, but am just working with the Chevy powerplant. The good: Brand new electric fuel pump Engine purrs like a Toyota should. Starts, runs, idles, and sounds great Transmission shifts great, three speed column shift Carb was recently rebuilt The odometer reads about 80k, it...

ebay auction 141075444188 starting at $6,000 This is a 1978 Toyota FJ40 Land Cruiser with mostly original equipment. It was purchased in 2003 in Louisville, Colorado. It has been kept in a garage. It only gets driven a few times each year on the back roads of Colorado. There has only been 2,525 miles driven since 2003. The front body and doors are original and the exterior has been repainted. There is some paint chipped on the interior of the driver side door. All weather seals have been replaced and are in excellent shape. The aft body has been rebuilt with an aluminum tub. 1973 FJ40 for sale
This vehicle has had one owner and was restored 10 years ago and kept under car port. It has the factory pto winch and a heavy duty roof rack. Nearly complete maintenance records, oil and filter changed every 2,000 miles. It has about 200,000 miles on it. Manuals and extra parts. Factory tool kit and jack pristine. New clutch and pressure plate recently. Stock except for the pollution plumbing. All seats have been recovered. Original spare tire. $25,000 OBO
I had just finished my last fj40 and like most things you enjoy had to part with it to pay medical bills.;) So now that those bills are paid off I would like to find another one to get started on. I would like a fixer upper, I live in Lyncburg (central VA) if you know of anyone that is looking to part with one with a title pretty cheap. Rust is fine, just would prefer it be complete. Let me know if you have, pics, and where you are located. I am looking to make a daily driver out of it. My email is shawncumella@gmail.com If you know how much you would charge to get it to Lynchburg let me know also. I can get a trailer and get it also if needed.
