I have a 1988 HJ61 (JDM) and I intend to install caster shims to correct steering wandering at highway speeds. I intended to order 2 pairs of 2.5* shins for a total of +5* caster. But I received only 1 pair. I’m considering going forward and installing them in the hope that I only need +2.5*.
Based on measurements from the fender to wheel hub, I believe the vehicle is raised about 1” over stock. It has aftermarket shackles front and rear. Bolt to bolt the front shackles measure about 5” and the rear shackles measure about 6”.
The alignment guys in town measured my caster at about -1*.
Is it possible that adding 2.5* is enough? Or should I order more shims?
