Point made

What happen to the gas filler opening neck? The opening has been closed and I don't see the filler neck. Do you have the correct front turn signals? Tail lights and tail light brackets? Pintle hook and eyebolts for the safety chains? Those are not off a 61. Rear view mirror on the windshield is the wrong mirror. If your interested the driver's side is the side that got a mirror, passenger's didn't have one. Do you have the soft top bows? To my knowledge no onr is making those. One company makes the replace replacement canvas at a cost of $3000. The other place that was making them is having trouble and won't count on getting one anytime soon. Do you have the front and rear seats for this cruiser. Not to easy to find if you don't. The rear junp seats were 61 only. If you have them you should post pictures of all the rear parts. This early cruisers are hard to find parts for. I guess I'm old school when someone say it's a 100% everything that came with it should be there including teh hub caps, trouble light, owner's manual, jack and complete tool kit. IMHO you about 70% from what I've seen so far. It looks like a every nice base to start with but still needed a lot of rare and very hard parts to find.

I should be careful with my choice of words....
It is 100% un-altered.
It is 90% complete

I have the complete interior: I'll post photos later this evening.
The gas filler is included with the truck. Why someone welded in the fuel filler housing I have no idea. I sell an original reproduction replacement.

*You forgot to mention that the Clutch master cylinder is not the original as well... (Should have been a tin revoir not plastic). You being such a master in your field probably knew that...

As I said before, I have the original rally wheels but not the center caps.

I may have access to the used bows (Still at the previous owners house)...

I'm asking $6500.00 not $10,000.00.

Anyway... If you have questions keep them coming.

Nice Truck

First, my apologies for the lack of manners on the part of some Club members who have nothing to do but whine. Seems this site king of the hill when it comes to whiners.

Second, just like to say you handled it well and I applaud you. Love your truck. Welcome!

Forums bring out the best in us...

Over the years I have experienced a number post by members (Not specific to Mud) who find refuge in correcting people or simply trying to prove their excellence in the subject matter of discusion.

In a few cases my path has crossed these members and I found them to be really nice good people. The curtain of, "The Forum" does weird things to people:) but I feel that a certain communication attribute is lost through text alone, and at times we (Me) misinterpret a persons good intentions for badgering.

Granted there are many cases where it is quite obvious what a member is trying to say, but the fact is we are not all professional writers who can accurately express ourselves through text alone.

With all this said, I welcome questions, comments, and any other source of (Attempted) communication. If I missinterpret you I apologize in advance.

I try to maintain a constant student role, and will continue my learning experience through out my life. The moment I assume I have it all figured out my hope is that someone will put me out of my delusion.

Thanks for reading my scramble...

I am not interested in your cruiser. I stand and applaud your attitude and clear minded-ness. This post is one of the best I've ever read on an internet forum.

Interior

Long awaited photos of the interior parts.

The frames are in decent condition but will need to be stripped and a little reconstruction work done before re-coating and upholstering...

I'm giving this ad two weeks from today and then pulling it off to restore (No hurt feelings:)).

I'd kind of like to build this cruiser for my wife. To all of you, "Purist" out there, don't be concerned... All will be as once was;)

This truck would make a great restoration project for someone, and would not cost a great deal to restore. I would be happy to discuss building this cruiser for it's new owner.
