Which once was a running truck has become the unfortunate victim of a change in life circumstances, and it is time to part ways with the beloved 40.
It started out with a simple timing cover leak and subsequent finding that the engine needed rebuilt, to quickly spiraling into removing a bunch of parts to be able to get the body aligned correctly and refurbish some parts. Since disassembly and lack of time and funds, it has sat relatively untouched since.
I'm hoping this truck can find its way to a loving home, someone who will have the time that I wish I had.

I have a bit of a wish list, primarily looking for a set of doors and ambulance doors immediately but also on the look out for:
- Original front bumper
- Front signal lights
- Front fenders
- Original tail lights
- Rear cross member

1969 fj40. $9,200.00. Modifications, vehicle with many parts. Vehicle has a 1975 running gear which has some modifications. All four leaf springs are Rancho leafs with less than 2000 miles on them. Front leaf’s are spun 180 degrees, and rear leaf mounts are moved back four inches, making a 102 inch wheel base. A 203 doubler from a Blazer was added to the H42/Transfer case line to make a 60 to 1 crawl ratio, added two shift sticks for a total of 4, one for the H42 Standard (1975) tranny, and one for the first low gear speed, and one for the second gear speed, and one for the front/rear/all four drive line selection. The H42 tail drive shaft was cut short, and a “spud gear” was manufactured and housed to adapt the H42 to the 203...
1972 FJ40 landcruiser with awesome patina. It runs and drives good with the occasional backfire. I put in a Trollhole carb. It has a set of 33x12.5 BFG tires on it. The body has minimal rust and some areas have been replaced with sheetmetal. Previous owner cut the harness so the lights don't work but the wiring is there to hook them back. Both front fenders were cut, cruisercorps has them for $230 each. Add a rattle can paint job and a day of electrical work would make this a nice DD.

WTB fj40 land cruiser. Cheaper the better. Not scared of rust. Doesn't need to be complete or original. Prefer not to ship. Can drive a reasonable distance (~500 miles) from Raleigh NC to retrieve.

Hey all, not sure if this is kosher on this forum but I wanted to get your opinions on this FJ since it is for sale on eBay and Hemmings. As well, I figured it's sort of like a PSA like I've seen on other classified forums. If it isn't kosher, Mods, please feel free to delete this thread.

The owner says the rear cross member is rusted out and the frame has a diamond plate patch above the rear spring shackle. Looking to get a usable 40 out of the deal - not looking for a showroom rig. Thoughts? Suggestions? Is the price right?

The time has come for me to part ways with my Land Cruiser. I'm selling my 1971 FJ40 Land Cruiser. I acquired this Land Cruiser in late 2010 from my mother's cousin's estate. The Land Cruiser was located in Little Rock, AR and as for as I know, my mother's cousin was the original owner. When I got the Land Cruiser, it had been sitting since the mid 90's. I trailered the FJ40 home to Dallas, where over the course of the next few years, I disassembled a little at a time with plans of doing a frame off restoration. In 2013 I relocated to Sergeant Bluff, Iowa, where the Land Cruiser is currently located. Here is all I know about this Land Cruiser: It is all original except for the wheels and tires I had to get from a salvage yard...

Non-restored, but very cared for and maintained FST 1971 FJ40(build date 9/70). Solid, straight and honest. This rig originally came from Chino, CA and has resided in Austin, TX the last 10 years. Don't think I've ever seen a taligate, rear sill or tub this clean on a non-restored rig. I have a binder of receipts dating back to 1997. It had a respray in Pomona, CA in 1999. While the paint isn't original, it presents itself as thought it is and retains a dull shine. At the same time, the inner tub was painted with what appears to be flexstone paint, NOT bedliner. There are couple of small/surface rust bubbles on the driver rocker and just below the rear emblems.
It's running the original F engine, but had a documented rebuild on...

I have decided to sell my 40. 1971 FST, unknown miles, I would call it stock with the exception of the floor shift, rear bench, roll bar, Pertronix, and the coil. Starts and runs well, literally 50 miles since Mark rebuilt the carb. Compression is 125 to 130 in all but cylinder 3 and 5. Those are at 100/105. Rear sill is shot, as well as the DS rear end of the bed. I cut out the rusted part of the rear corners but then went ahead and installed the diamond plate corners. Seats were redone with the SOR kits and I had the back panels powder coated Pewter Gray. Tires are a year old and have about 100 mikes on them. $7500, PM me if interested.
