This USA Spec 1980 Land Cruiser FJ40 that is mechanically well sorted. The seller has owned this truck for 20 years and has driven the truck on some long journeys. Rust is starting to show in a number of panels.
Seller reports new complete 2F rebuild with Rv cam, balanced, ported, polished bored .40 over, with all new parts. Weber two barrel carb with K&N filter. Ceramic coated headers with flow master exhaust. DUI distributor. 4-speed transmission and transfer case with all new bearings and seals. Heavy duty clutch and pressure plate, New master cylinder.
Lifted 3-4" with Man-a-Fre springs and anti-inversion greaseable shackles, OME shocks and...
These are on a website for a dealer in Summerville, SC. Same place from where I just bought my HJ45. It was an easy transaction and the truck was as advertised. Larry worked with me on the price and paid for professional transport to my front door. Even Fedexed me a refund check when an error in addition was recognized (I paid part cash and part CC) and processed the registration.. Truck paint is about 7.5-8/10 and passed the magnet test except for the tail gate which was apparent when I inspected it. It has no appreciable rust except surface in bed floor and very minor in floor pans. Leaking clutch master and slave replaced before my test drive and some minor things like master brake sensors and blower resistor and tie rod bushings...

1978 FJ 40 landcruiser Saw this on CL. Didn't go to too much effort to post pictures or clean up the clutter. Thoughts on this 40?
Time to clean out the shop.
Clean frame complete with axles, driveshafts, engine, transmission and transfer case.
Head is off of the engine, bores look good, stock pistons, doesn't seem to have much cylinder wear at all but I haven't put a mic to it. Looks to have ProComp shocks, possible springs.
No title but bill of sale.

Hey everyone. New here and looking to part with my 1979 fj40 land cruiser. Original blue paint interior has everything (dash pad rear heater jump seats in great condition.) front seats are pretty torn and there's rust In the usual, late 70s early 80s 40 series, places. Drives floor pan rust is pretty bad the passanger side is not terrible. The rear bed looks like it was patched quickly in one spot and probably needs to be re done. Has and chevy small block conversion. Original 4 speed tranny. Lifted on 35 inch bfgs with lots if tread left. Any questions send me an email through Craig's list.

I have decided to sell my 1971 Toyota FJ40 Land Cruiser. It is a very clean FJ40. It came from an estate in Colorado. It was a one owner truck, and it comes with a bill of sale only because they did not have titles in 1971 when it was purchased new. New owner can get a title for it. I have not messed with it since I am not ready to fix it up yet. Seller told me that it was driven and used on a large ranch in dry southern Colorado since it was new, hence the original 1971 Colorado license plates still on the vehicle. The engine was removed at some point in time. It was pulled apart and comes with the vehicle. The front seats need recovered. It could also use a new upper dash pad. I took this in trade back in 2014. P.O. built this as a trail rig, trailering it to the trails. My intention was to make it more of a DD. I removed the full roll cage and 5 point racing seats. Traded the 38’s for 33’s . I haven’t driven it more than 5 miles, mostly yard driving. Not a fan of the SOA at all. The engine 3speed trans and t-case have 15,000 miles. Fj60 power steering conversion, along with 60 series front disc brakes. Rear has a Detroit locker. All rust was removed during the build. PO hurculined everytning inside and out ( also not a fan of hurculiner). Hardtop is from a newer model, so has ambulance doors

I am the second owner of this gorgeous and well documented and restored 83 FJ40. I have owned it since Aug of 2015. It was basically a barn find. The original owner was a meticulous record/manual keeper, and I have receipts and registrations etc going back to 1983. Too many things are new to list, but include tail lights, turn signals, PS pump, rebuilt OEM PS box, windshield gasket, tires, brakes, fuel tank, fuel tank lines, brake lines, rebuilt carb, OME suspension, etc... Currently 87,500 original miles.
