Selling my 1979 FJ40. Mechanically everything works. Drives good. The body and seats are rough. I do have the repair panels for the rear and right front fender. Also stock wheels and extra complete set of glass for the top. Several boxes of spare parts. We have been using it as a hunting truck. It has never let me down. I have bought a BJ73 to replace it. The winch in the pictures does not go with it. Make someone a good starter project truck or just drive it as is. Asking $4000.00. Located in Mt. Carmel ILL.

I am new to Land Cruisers and I am looking for either a FJ40 or BJ40 1975 and older. It doesn't matter where its located. I don't know how much i am expecting it to cost as I've seen prices all over the place. I'd prefer one that isn't in show room shape but i don't want a rust bucket, something i can daily drive. 1972 Toyota fj40 landcruiser
I’m considering selling my 76 FJ40 for $35k. This is a rust free, no dents, great running rig. Original 2F motor the runs great with all Ca smog equipment installed and functioning. New aftermarket dash, rebuilt carb, just tuned up, newer radiator, wrangler tilt steering column, all gauges functioning, reupholstered seats, newer headliner and door panels, PS, SOA with 35’s, 3 yr old paint. Great off road and as a DD. Winch as well. Over $35k invested in this 7 yr build. Pictures are posted and more available upon request if interested. Reside in So. Cal.
I have owned this vehicle since Spring of 1993 with 78k miles at the time. It has spent all of it's life in New Mexico (I'm in Albuquerque). Kids are in college and neither are interested in driving it, let alone taking care of it. There is minor rust below the read doors and surface rust in parts of the tub. Needs a headliner which I have. It is all original with reupholstered seats. 1975 Toyota LandCruiser FJ-40 rock crawler- It has a new mexico ohv license and title. currently not running, pulled carb to start GOT PROPANE conversion, ran good before carb was pulled. Has stock 2f motor and 4 spd(H-42?)and t-case with a Marlin Crawler 4:1 gear reduction box. Has bobby long 30 spine front axle shafts, front axle has disk brake conversion with drive flanges, and front and rear spider gears are welded. Has Saginaw power steering converision with Marlin crawler crossover steering setup. Wheelbase has been extended to 104 or 110" cant remember exactly. Rear body has been pied. Ughh. If only I had room for 7 Fj40’s right now. I originally checked this one out. Made the guy an offer and he passed. 12 hours later I bought a different Fj40. Then he texts me saying add $500 more to my offer and he would take it. I think it’s worth the full $16,000.00 but I only had so much to spare at the time. Anyway someone who wants a patina Fj40 pick this up please. He’s very close to what he has it listed for price wise. Nice guy, firefighter, friendly, seemed honest to me.

Motor ran well. Carb is a Holley needs adjusted.
Has original floor mat, dealer ac, pinstripes
AC needs set up. Condenser and motor are missing. Unit moves air. Missing a vent cover.
Jump seats missing. Front seats looked good.

How common is it for a “seller” to have a vehicle crated and ready to go for sale? And also have a third party doing the transaction and giving a 7 day “inspection” period if not satisfied after receiving it. Money will be returned within 24-48 hrs if not satisfied.

It is time for the next curator for a couple of Land Cruisers. For sale is a 3B diesel 1982 BJ42 left hand drive and a 1966 FJ40 plow truck w/ pto winch. I would like to sell them as a package deal but will separate if need be. I will also list this in the BJ42 section.
The '82 BJ42 is a Canadian version left hand drive, has a dependable 24Volt 3B diesel with an impressively strong 24Volt Warn 8274 mounted to a very stout bull bar. There are 2 plug ins for the block and tranny heaters for cold weather starts. The glow plugs have been converted to a Wilson switch. Up for sale is my 1976 FJ40. Truck is a roller as the rear Tub is pulled off (rust issues). I have the front clip/bib/fenders/quarters/grill/all lights. All this FJ needs is a tub and a bit of welding on the cowl. I had planned on just getting a full tub but have no space to keep it while restorations complete. The engine runs amazing and has crazy torque and power! This FJ has been in my family since 1984 and it was my pops, he's a top level Gas/ Diesel mechanic.
