Let's take a quick inventory. Not for your benefit, viami. But rather for those who believe in honesty.

The interior and exterior paint are not original.

The later thermostat housing and valve cover raise doubts as to whether the entire engine is still original.

The fender flares, extra gas tank, widened wheels, exterior side view mirrors and the front bumper are not original.

That steering wheel and the steering column are not original. The front seats appear non-original.

The transfer case vacuum shifting mechanisms are gone, the front turn signal housings are gone. That floor-shift transmission set up is not original.

All of which makes your claim that this cruiser is "very original" very untrue.

Yup

I love when they join the same day they list these heaps of S*$@ and then think people will snap them up for some inflated price because they say its "very original".

what a jackass.

That cruiser is not a heap of s***. It is a typical 52-year-old FJ40 that has had some work done, needs some more work done and will make a fun ride for someone who understands what it actually is, as opposed to what the seller claims it to be and thinks it is worth.

At least its not covered in bed-liner and advertised as "rugged" for $37K . . . yet!

Ok, fair enough. Just a little tired of what is happening to the market and ranting to blow off steam. Sorry guys.

Which is why I have yet to pull the trigger on a classic and live vicariously through others that have.
