"There is NO tools. Less weight.
There is NO spare tire. Less weight.
There is NO soft top to avoid mildew or growth of undesired mold"

Because its impossible to need a spare while driving this unicorn, it has indestructible tires, and it's even weather proof so no need for a top!! :)

What a story. Looks like a typical Non USA FJ40 to me. Why would Toyota ever ship a truck with soft top bows and no top? About all I would believe is it was in Africa. Shipped with no Spare or tools to save weight? Really?

A story is right.

I learned how to make negatives into positives by this listing....

Rust holes........lightweight!
Engine doesn't run......fuel savings!
Glass is missing.....ventilation!
Tires are bald......better for handling!
Check engine light on.....warm amber interior lighting!

So, was Africa the first to get 4 speed floor shift in 1970?
I thought they would have stuck with the 3 speed to save weight.

If you take away some of the sales puffery in the ad I do think this a pretty interesting vehicle at the asking price. Lots of questions (4-speed?, empty holes in the dash, etc., etc., etc.) but the pics look pretty good. If I were in the area I'd probably go take a look and try to find the truth about this one. There are much worse FJ40s at higher asking prices I think (based on the pics at least).

It's as if the seller knows very little about FJ40s but has done some homework and knows some sales buzz words.

Google the guy's phone number and look at some of the stuff he's sold....especially the Ferrari boat.

Wow we might be looking at the very first FJ40 to have a 2F motor. All the way back in 1970. It must have worked out because 5 years later it was in everything LoL.
