Not the best pic but you can see fuel filter in upper right and vac reservoir in lower left. Pic is taken from driver side fender. Happy to provide more info as you get further along!

Sweet - thanks for all of the info. I just got my starter. Looking forward to getting this thing moving soon. Copy on the Racor 445. @PBcuiser do you mind sharing a few photos of how you laid out your engine bay? Fuel filter and vac reservoir are...

Nice rig! Copy with the Yanmar amazon starter - Im running one on my 1hz and its good. did you check Partsouq for the injector pipes? They had new stock for 1hz when I was building mine. For an Alt, Im using on out of a 93 FZJ80, again Im running...

I found some useful info in this thread that describes the Yanmar 6LP generic part number compatibility and am going to order an inexpensive 12V starter from amazon to get spinning! Still looking for an injector pipe source. Spent the day...

Sweet! Can't wait. I've had a HD in an 80 series and loved it. Pretty excited to get this rolling. I am still waiting on CruiserParts to ship the injector pipes. Wondering what they are not telling me. I have a message out to Terrain Tamer...

seatosummit posted the thread HDJ62 in Diesel Tech / 24 volts.
Hey Mud - I just picked up a new project. The truck started life as an 1986 HJ61 in NZ. It received a 1HD-T + 4speed auto swap before making the journey over to the US in the late 00's. A tree fell on it and the PO did a body swap with an '89...

I posted because I wanted to trade for a 60 series. If the right one came along, I would trade it. I'm not actively trying to get rid of it, so I haven't bothered to post it for sale. That said, at the end of the day most of my stuff is for sale...

I have waited a long time to start this thread. About two years ago I was minding my own business, scrolling through Facebook, and all of a sudden a suggested ad popped up. It said “you like diesel Land Cruisers, you might like Canarian Land...

This is probably good for you. I think they make a smaller one too: https://ph.parker.com/us/en/product/racor-replacement-filter-element-spin-on/r45t. If I remember, right it's basically the volume that you are flowing per hour that makes up the...

I'm not really that interested in getting rid of it at all, to be honest. Mostly interested in trades for other interesting LCs, but I might come around to selling it in the next 6 months if I wind up with something else and need to free up...

Cool - good intel. Compression numbers are good on this one, but I have still never heard it run, so bit of a leap of faith.

Even in cold winter weather 12v will get you started if your glow screen is working and your motor is healthy. I've had no issues in the low teens with my 1hz and working glow plugs.

Interesting - I will have to research that further. I am not married to OEM filter set up as this is a bit of a frankenstein build anyway. The IP is on the opposite side of where the fuel lines come up the frame rail, so I am going to have to fab...

Awesome, thank you! I like the 12V starter idea. I have one attached to my 13B and it does fine. Should be ok for the larger 1HD-T in mild weather with a good battery. I will start looking. As for the air cleaner, yes, it looks like they were...
    • seatosummit
I'm pretty sure you can get the air cleaner from Toyota still. And you can run a 12v starter too - same starter as the 1hz. It is a common mod to convert to 12v start as the solenoid that combines the two batteries for 24v cold start can be...

I am compiling parts for a 1HD-T swap into an FJ62. Having trouble finding the above two items, so wondering if any body has spares laying around! Also looking for battery trays for the 60 series, as it has none. I will need two, as the...

Hey Mud - I want to trade my Aus spec BJ42 for a late model 62 with auto and 3FE. Open to other 60s, maybe an early 80 or a 70. In a perfect world, the 62 would be two tone and minimal rust. Less concerned about engine status, as I would likely...

Nice looking truck. Good luck with your sale. Wrong coast for me, unfortunately.
