Hi everyone, I want to sell this Troopy, but I'm not sure what it's worth. The previous owner completely overhauled the engine a year ago, as well as other parts of the truck. There are 2 bench seats in back that are in great shape. Everything looks to be in great condition. We had a mechanic check it out and it passed all the tests. I have more pictures. I have a post in the 60's section for an available HJ61. Thought I'd let this crowd know that I have access to an 84 BJ42V. 3B, 5spd, extra soft top, full door/half door/bikini. This JDM truck has 121,170 miles. This is the only information and pictures I have. If someone has been in the market and is interested, I could try to request more. According to the report from Japan, there is some "rust on the rear corner". Appears to be visible in the picture. The $12,800 includes legal import and California Title. Trade Feeler: RHD FJ45 Project (In Pieces) for running FJ40 (RI)

We are in the process of putting our house up for sale in the next 6 months so I’m faced cleaning up the garage. My options for my 45 project are find a place to store it until we move and then hide it in a 2 car garage until I can build a shop to start working on it. Means it might be done in 2017. My other option is to trade it for a running and driving 40 which would suit my family better since I purchased the 45 when it was just my wife and now with 2 kids a 40 would be a better choice. I will not part it out unless someone buys the tub, frame, bed and roll cage. I probably have over $17k invested into this truck and will be taking a huge hit I’m sure. For Sale 1984 BJ42 + spare 3B short-block (RHD, road legal) in MD.

another project that needs to go. 1984 BJ42 imported from NZ, all paperwork is clear, titled and registered for the road, 100% legit. 3B diesel runs strong, 5-speed H55, full floating axles, LSD in rear. stock, unmolested. it is worth noting that this is an oddball aussie unit that came with drum brakes on the front, no roll bars or dash pads and a bench seat in the front. my guess is that it was some sort of fleet vehicle. it is also 12V, not 24V as many BJ42s are. the good: radiator re-cored with a staggered 4-core, new brakes (drums, shoes, master/wheel cylinders, the works), engine burns oil but runs very well, transmission/transfer also runs strong, new fibreglass fenders, hella ECE headlamps with HID kit installed, new BF...
