I'm not into the 45's but there's one just outside of Portland that seems like a buy. I don't have the link but I talked to the guy, apparently it's complete with matching numbers. Stored covered for 22 years. He wants 9000, but said cash talked.

Sounds like a good deal of its true. Tricky these days with so many opportunist on the net. I'm still searching for that elusive left handed Troopy but will subscribe to this thread as, I would be curious to hear of anyone checks this out. Thanks for sharing...

If anybody goes to check it out apparently he's got a 72' 40 for sale too and I'd welcome a mudders perspective on it.

Good day mudders. Spoke with the fellow that has this. He does seem ligit however there were a couple of flags. Not so much with respect himself personal but the scenario. The truck is not his. Some guy who owed him money left it at his shop 24 yrs ago. consequently it was buried several times by his staff and has not run I that entire time. Despite that he claims it will but makes no warranties of course as to how far. Two feet or two thousand miles which ever comes first sortof things. There is usually no shortage of opinion here so would anyone like to weigh in on a potential value?

I have spoken with the listing gentleman as well, and just to add to the story - and there is a story, the vehicle was once stolen, damaged, and then determined totaled by the insurance company and given a salvaged titled (to the owner , of course). Colorful history to be certain. There is more, might be a great deal for someone. I'm just not sure how you sell something that is not yours (the legal owner - at this time) is still in the area. When I last spoke with the the lister, no efforts have been taken to obtain any legal proof of ownership.

And someone mentioned potential value of vehicle hard to say with a salvage title was it wrecked or stolen flooded(we do live in Oregon). Who fixed it? My guess would be $2000- $3500 or worth only what the Gentlemen is owed.

That's my 2cents worth.

Other problems with a salvage titled vehicle...
Not many if any banks will give you a loan to buy. A lot of insurance company's will no longer insure, and if you find one...max coverage will be very low
