Hi everyone,
I want to sell this Troopy, but I'm not sure what it's worth. The previous owner completely overhauled the engine a year ago, as well as other parts of the truck. There are 2 bench seats in back that are in great shape. Everything looks to be in great condition. We had a mechanic check it out and it passed all the tests. I have more pictures.
Thanks for any input you guys can give on this.
If anyone is interested in it, you can email me at angelatencio1@hotmail.com

much appreciated

You have the ps cap? Rag is going to key a lot of dirt in. Love the soft top look . GLWS probably 12-15 range registered stateside.

I'll be in CR in November....and my wife wants a truck with a third row.....:hhmm:

FWIW, I don't think the OP owns this cruiser - he's trying to middle-man it? It's been for sale online for at least 6 months.

Everybody is always googoo-eyed over cruisers in CR. The truth is that most are either way overpriced or full of bondo/hacked up/bandaid fixed, or all of the above! The good quality units are kept by the Costa Ricans - remember a car is a huge investment in these countries and owners tend to keep and use their vehicles until they are literally falling apart and cannot pass RTV (inspection). Then, they sell to garages who piece them back together and try to sell for a profit. Not saying this is the case here...just sayin'.

Cruisers in Costa Rica

I have been coming to Costa Rica for the past 22 years and lived here for the past 4 years. I am married to a Costa Rican, and nothing that 1tontoy says is correct. There are beautiful rust free, or nearly rust free, no bondo work, low miles, and very original diesel cruisers here in Costa Rica. And reasonably priced at that. People here don't have a lot of extra income to buy cars so they are careful with what they have. The climate is perfect to preserve these rust free if they are taken care of and not near the ocean. The Ticos don't drive their cars like we do, they will take buses to work, and drive their cars on Sunday. They don't chop them up. Most are very original and few have added power steering, disc brakes. The example here is a rare one that was completely rebuilt according to the owner. We buy them here and then resell them. I haven't bought this one yet, but was thinking about it because I wasn't sure of the value and the owner was asking more than usual, probably because he put a lot of work into it.

Have not any actual transactions with Angela however I've found her to be quite forthright about what she is doing and the vehicles she is trying to sell or resell as it were. Being up front is more than several of the folks selling Cruisers can say lol. Quite a bit of what she says about these Costa Rica rigs is true. Just like here though some have not been cared for quite as much with money being tighter sometimes. That's no different than here so the same caveat emptor rules apply as they should. That's my $0.02 ;)
