I see on ebay Aus that there is a BJ42 LX (triple wiper) that has had a Chev V8 conversion done to it, not all that uncommon in Australia unfortunately.
Does this kill any interest in the vehicle or make it more interesting?
If it was something you would buy would you leave it as it was or convert it back to a diesel?
Doe the diesel motor give the BJ40/42 its uniqueness?

I have bought myself an 67 Fj40 in September last year.
But the title of that truck is missing and because of that the truck isn't able to leave country and get shipped to me (The Netherlands)
We have tried several ways but so far we have not succeeded to get here pass the customs:crybaby:
Maybe I need to forget this truck and look for an other one:frown:
So if you have or know a Fj40 or Fj43 that meets the following requirements:
- 1967 or older
- with Title
- non restaurated
you can let me know.
How mutch i'm willing to pay for it depends on the vehicle.

Just listed my BJ42. Completed a partial restoration over the past year, but unfortunately I need to sell it. Just bought a fixer upper and need the cash. Also, my new house only has a 6'-5" high garage clearance, so she won't fit without letting air out of the tires. :bang:

Just put the Troopy up on eBay... Great truck. Really don't want to sell but it just didn't get the wife acceptance factor (after she encouraged me to buy it in the first place!).
Recently purchased from Vintage4x4 in Arizona. Originally from Australia and the previous owner was from Virginia. Clean Delaware title and inspected until June 2014. It has to be one of the coolest trucks I have owned. Had in on the Delaware Beaches all Summer but the wife now requires it to be SOLD due to the fact it is not easy enough for her to drive since it does not have power steering. Two small spots of rust which I have shown in the pictures. The truck had great patina. I now have well over $35K in this Rare beast. I know, I Know. Nice very rare land cruiser. Located in Portland Oregon. Legally imported from canada a few years ago, licensed, insured, and DEQed. This is a normal left hand drive. The really rare part of this cruiser is unlike most canadian cruiser there's almost no rust! Body off restore last summer cleaned of all rust and coated in POR15. The body tube, front grille, tailgate, wheels, fenders are all aluminum. Over $6000 worth of aluminum on here. The rest is steel and has a POR-15 base coat with black coat over that. It has a very "no rust" theme to it. 1000 miles on new clutch and new rebuilt 4 speed transmission. Polycarbonate windshield. Oversize New aluminum 3 core radiator. The speedo is broken so no idea how...
