Thinking about selling my Troopy. I imported this from AU ages ago. It's RHD with power steering. It started life as an HJ45 and I swapped in a turbo 3B. There's a build thread here.
It's got an H55F and a Marlin Crawler Toybox. ARB air lockers front and rear. OME lift. I have tons of spare parts (a few 3B-style input shaft H55F transmissions, a spare 3B, just too much to list at the moment. ) I'll try to catalog it all if people are interested.
I have barely used it the past few years and have some other projects in mind. Selling the Troopy will free up garage space and funds.
$15k.
If you're interested message me here and I'll be happy to share all the photos or videos that you want to see.
Selling my 1977 FJ45 that I’ve owned 15 years. Purchased in Alberta, Canada in 2008 while I was living there. Imported her when I was transferred back to Houston,TX in 2014.
These are the things I’ve done since owning her: OME suspension, rebuilt alternator, brake job and tie rods. Was repainted prior to me purchasing her.
Only 37,528 original miles and garaged kept.
Asking price $48k
Thanks,
David
Hey guys,
I have been importing Land Cruisers from a friend in Saudi Arabia. We have done a FZJ80, two FZJ75s, one FZJ70 and one FJ45 Troopy.
He has a real nice Troopy for sale as well if anyone is interested. I have a space on a container coming to Houston soon. I am either going to fill the space with a FZJ75 or this Troopy.
Check it out. If anyone if interested I will work with you and let you know how the import process and payment works. 100% trustworthy connection.
I have an import bond and can get these in fairly easy.
I have two FJ45 trucks - 1977 and 1978. This ad is for the 1978 - see other ad for info about the 1977.
Runs and drive well - can be used as is or restored. Original Canadian trucks with low usage.
Original 6 cylinder in-line gas engine and manual transmission. Good frame - can use a little repair to inner frame at rear arch, but solid and usable as is. Needs some metal replacement on body, including rockers and cab corners. I have replacement original box sides and floor pieces for this truck. Good tailgate that opens and closes properly. Professionally recovered seat and new muffler. Many new parts purchased - fenders (genuine Toyota), running boards, inner and outer rockers, cab corners (from Australia), genuine Toyota...
Completely restored troopy. Year long restoration process. Truck is in TN. Have some minor work being done on it. Clutch leaked onto floor board so I'm having that touchedup Asking 60k. Clean truck shows 156954 km. I have lots and lots of pics.
I have two FJ45s - will sell either one or possibly both. This ad is for a 1977 FJ45. The other ad is for a 1978 FJ45.
Runs and drives. Original drivetrain - 6 cylinder gas engine and manual transmission. A Canadian truck with relatively low usage. The undersides of the cab and fenders were coated with a layer of foam that probably helped protect from the elements. Body has some rust, as you can see. Frame looks good with no rust through found. It has a non-original PTO. It comes with a new muffler. Overall very good box and tailgate. Interior mostly original. Engine compartment original. A project truck or use in the meantime as is with minimal work. New inner and outer rockers and cab corners available at extra cost...
Recently restored/imported. Total frame-off, nut and bolt resto. Newly rebuilt 3B and 4-speed with only 1000km (620mi) on them. Zero leaks or issues—it's an extremely smooth driver. Also LHD, soft-top, and has a clean US title!
Being auctioned right now, click here for more information: BringATrailer Listing

I am selling my very nice MPR fiberglass hard top for an FJ43 or BJ43. The hard top is made out of 4 parts: two sides, one (sliding) door and the roof. Comes with brand new rubber seal for the roof.
´Sliding door´ means that the spare tire carrier is locked to the back door and slides open as soon as the door is opened due to a swivel-mechanism.
Price: $ 1600 USD. Includes shipping to Texas.
MPR used to be a Colombian Company that got big making fiberglass tops for Toyotas, Nissans and Mitsubishis. I think they stopped making them somewhere in the late 90´s. There are other brands that were also made in Colombia such as NPR, TPR and Fivres, but I think the MPR ones are the best designed tops. They come with air-intakes which can be...

Howdy there y'all. I'm posting this for a friend, but I know this FJ well. What we have for sale here is a 1978 FJ43 from Colombia which currently resides in Baker Louisiana with a clean Louisiana Title. Last week on BaT (1978 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ43 - https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1978-toyota-land-cruiser-fj43-26/) the highest bid of $15,500 failed to meet the reserve. I love this FJ, I know her well, I wish he didn't have to sell it, and I wish I could buy it. I'll give you a run down of the ups and downs. There's a million pictures on that Bat link btw.
Bad : She does have some electrical quirks about her as do many if I had to imagine. Like lighting or killing. Both of which maybe are super easy fixes if you know wiring...
New projects coming up, grab it and make it your own!

Offers Considered:
Tan 1978 FJ43 (78 based on bill of sale; VIN on frame and 2F motor). Would be sold with a Georgia bill of sale.
This is both a running/driving truck and a project at the same time.
This is also the perverbial lipstick on a pig FJ43 from Colombia and I will try to be as transparent as possible about it.
The good:
It looks pretty darn good as it sits; It runs and drives; clutch is good - no hopping etc.; I have driven about 100 miles in it - does not overheat; the interior was redone prior to import; the tub is a new 3/4 tub; engine and drivetrain appear to have been gone through prior to import - lots of shiny hardware showing. Basically it got a Colombian body off restoration (for better or worse). brakes work but...
I purchased this vehicle in 2014 in Qatar. Since returning to Toronto, its been in an underground garage. I have Ontario plates.
I enjoyed driving / repairing it. I've replaced several parts, mainly original Toyota / OEM parts. I've documented my adventures here :
Qatar FJ45 Project - https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/qatar-fj45-project.815153/
Qatar Exploration for FJ40's!! - https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/qatar-exploration-for-fj40s.791085/
But the time has come to sell it and move on to new adventures. The engine / gearbox / clutch is in great shape, but there are surface rust / scratches / wear-and-tear on the body. Its not perfect...but this classic is 40 years old and still runs. There is a small dent on the front left fender...
