Hi All,
I think I finally got the pics to work.
This 40 is the sum of several bits and pieces from 68 to 76 I think.
68 frame 75 tub 76 4speed & xnsfer.Axles,maybe 75,not sure.
Just for fun I stuffed a 5.3 liter v12 jag in it.Actually works fairly well, but I would never do it again.

Please post up some more pictures of this engine swap.

please post some more.. need info like how did you mate the tranny/X-fercase together, engine mounts. any cooling problems? this one of the more interesting swaps ive seen... well done

Carry on, you've got my attention !!

Here are a few,more tommorrow.
to answer some questions.
MPG I don't really know, but it's not as bad as I thought it would be.
Cooling that is the 68 radiator,it cools fine,no problems there.I don't get the guys with the v8s who say they won't.
Mating up the drivetrain took some work, had to machine a bell housing to fit the toyota gearbox, fab the mounts, etc.
I will get some detail pics and try to show some of interesting parts.

Nice Jagota! Or maybe - Shagota! Cool swap - I'd hate to have to do any trail fixes, however.

Left side veiw.Note the kink in the steering shaft was to go around the origonal side draft SU's.

Right and left mounts at rear of engine.3/4 " aluminum plate sandwiched between bell housing and gearbox. No flex there!
The hole in the plate is for the front driveshaft.

Wow. Now I can say I have seen it all. More pictures, please.

wow! thanks for the photos and details on the engine swap. although mine wont' be so "involved" you have given me the confidence to go ahead with my plans of shoving my ford 302 in it.

It sure can't be as difficult as your swap, and yours looks s-a-w-e-e-t!

more pics
