530pm at Arboretum Harris Teeter. I left him a card but couldn't stick around to wait on him. Anybody we know?

My coworker (who has been looking for a 40 for 3 years) saw this one at a Lowe's in Charlotte-anybody on here?

There's a very good chance that this one is the white whale that's driven by a girl who works around Southpark Mall (winch and square bezel). It used to have a roof rack, though. She's ignored all attempts at contact, even from my wife. I spoke to her one morning and she was very uncomfortable, but that's to be expected when I'm involved.

Maybe it's someone else, though. I think I saw 3 white ones 2 weeks ago and only recognized one.

I feel a little uneasy myself just from reading your post, John. You're a really scary person.

Just to add to the white 40 sightings, I will say that I did see a white 40 yesterday on Potter Rd. in Weddington. I know who it is. The owner's name is George and he owns Picadelis restaurant/pub in Matthews. I've talked to him in the past about cruisers and joining the group. He was actually interested in my old CJ8 back before I sold it. He's a definite cruiserhead though and it really surprises me that he never makes an effort to join. Some folks you just can't reach...then again, maybe it's just that I am a scary person too, I don't know....

i talked to George a few years ago at Cotswold. He said he had just sold a 40 he restored (I think) and had just bought another to fix. He emailed me to keep in touch but never replied to my responses. Seemed like a nice guy. I think his dad owns/owned the "Fresh My Farm" restaurant at Wendover/Monroe Rds.

I should have clarified... All attempts at contact from multiple members who left cards, even my wife who left an ONSC and work cards with a note about owning a 40 herself. I've long since stopped wasting the effort when I see her truck.

Some people like them, and some people love them to the point that they want to hang out with other people and talk about them. I love my WRX, but I want nothing to do with the local Subaru clubs - mostly backward hat wearing kids that have almost no mechanical knowledge and just want to buy and sell their 'rims'... Liked my CJ - but those jeep guys are either redneck 'mudders' or they drive new rigs with $40k pricetags. I've found that the LC crowd is more my speed... :)

As further info, the wife drives a Fit... If they had a club they'd have it at the bingo parlor... She probably doesn't want the head of that club approaching her in a parking lot...offering her Werther's candy perhaps?

If I ever see her, I'm going to say something to the effect of: "Did you know that there is a cult and all of its members drive FJ40's? The FJ40 is like a beacon for branch Davidians... Be careful!"

Possible repost. Very nice 62 at SouthPark Mall. Was not there when I went in to the Apple Store, but was when I came out ....

That's @jpeg . I would love to have that 62. If you had gotten to see all she's done to it, you'd like it even more.

Spotted at Hope Community Church in Cary. I waited for the owner but no one came out to claim it. When we got out of service, it was gone.

Saw this stock 62 outside the Brigs Restaurant on 55 in Durham on Sunday morning. Didn't see the owner, so I left an ONSC card. Anybody recognize it?

I talked to a guy this morning named Shawn who owns a red 1970 Fj40 that is all original. Nice guy.

I have seen 2 Olive brown 40's in town lately that I've not seen before and neither are NCole either!! I love that color. Reminds me of my friend who passed away who owned 2 of them and is the reason i love cruisers!!!

Why can't we have this in 'murica. :( My friend is on a hunting trip in Argentina, these are the field trucks to take you to and fro the killing fields. Power from 1KD-FTV 3litre turbo diesel.

Client of mine today spotted in her 1998 100 series turning 361k miles. No issues other than maint. Has had since 2001 with 27k miles and just had third timing belt and water pump installed cause "manual says to". Awesome.

Really no comment on this. Looks prutty, but that's about it.

This looked to be a pretty stock '70 FST, except the top was not. Still had all the hardware to install original polls and even had the door straps and hinges for original doors. They did not sell Friday. Think Saturday was there day.

Did make to the Army/Navy store
